Banlag, Valencia City, Bukidnon headed by Punong Barangay Robert A. Boje for a meaningful tree-growing activity in celebration of the Cooperative Month 2025 and honoring the legacy of Fr. Neri Satur.

The City Government of Valencia, Bukidnon buzzed with cooperative spirit as various cooperatives, the City Cooperative Office, and the City of Valencia Cooperative Development Council (CVCDC) launched the Cooperative Month 2025 with an energetic kick-off program held last October 10, 2025 at the City Hall Covered Court.

The celebration began with a vibrant parade showcasing the city's diverse cooperatives, followed by a Eucharistic Mass led by Rev. Fr. Jose "Jojo" Sumastre. Aminoden A. Elias, the Regional Director of the CDA Regional Office X, served as the guest speaker, sharing insights and inspiration. The Committee Chairperson of the Committee on Cooperatives and Livelihood, Hon. Karen Gamolo also graced the event together with Mr. Abe P. Gillaco MPA, the CGDH-I (HRMO)/Officer-in-Charge of the City Cooperative Office and Mr. Edgar Noveno, the CVCDC Chairperson. A highlight of the program was the awarding ceremony, recognizing the winners of the recent Basketball Tournament, Volleyball Tournament, and Zumba Competition, adding a touch of friendly competition and camaraderie to the festivities.

The activity would not be possible if not for the strong support of our City Mayor, Hon. Amie G. Galario together with the City Vice Mayor, Hon. Greizl Fernandez-Galario.

Today, the different cooperatives of the City of Valencia demonstrated their unwavering commitment to our community by organizing and participating in a comprehensive cleanup drive. Our members worked tirelessly to clear litter and debris. This initiative reflects our core values of social responsibility and community engagement. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers and partners who contributed to the success of this event. Together, we are building a cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant environment for everyone.
