OROQUIETA CITY, MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL โ The Misamis Occidental Association of Family Welfare Committee (MOAFWC), under the Department of Labor and Employment Region X โ Misamis Occidental Provincial Field Office, successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter Meeting on May 12, 2026, at the DOLE Office in Upper Langcangan, Oroquieta City.
The meeting opened with customary rites, followed by the acknowledgment of attendees and welcome remarks for new members by the MOAFWC Focal Person, who also expressed gratitude for the continued support in advancing family welfare initiatives in workplaces across the province.
DOLE Provincial Chief Ebba Borbon-Acosta delivered an inspiring message, commending members for their active participation in promoting workplace family welfare. She emphasized unity, cooperation, and the importance of strengthening partnerships and encouraging more companies to join the association to further improve employee well-being and workplace productivity.
Provincial Chief Acosta said, โSa katapusan, magtinabangay ta. Tabangi mi ninyo sa among programa. And I hope nga magkahiusa gyud ta as family.โ

The meeting gathered 27 focal persons from various partner companies and organizations across Misamis Occidental, reflecting strong collaboration in promoting family welfare programs.
Key discussions included the Family Welfare Programโs 10 Dimensions, the salient provisions of Republic Act No. 10361 or the Batas Kasambahay, and International Labour Organization Convention No. 190 on eliminating violence and harassment in the workplace.
Participating organizations included the Ozamiz Chamber of Commerce, Misamis Occidental Electric Cooperative Inc. (MOELCI)-1 and MOELCI-2, Novo Department Store Inc., Osamco Manufacturing Corp., Junjing Construction and General Merchandise, Terry Perry Coffee, Reynaldo Financing Services Corp., Jimenez Distribution Specialist Incorporated, GB Prime Consumer Corp., Crown Paper and Stationery, ASA Philippines Foundation Inc., ALTRADE MPC, La Salle University, Elim Poultry Dressing Plant, Paglaum Multipurpose Cooperative, SBU Construction Supplies and General Merchandise, Lorenzo Tan Multipurpose Cooperative, Almar Suites, GT & Epics Enterprises Inc., McDonaldโs and Geege Mall, Ozamiz City St. Joseph General Hospital, and Christian Mindanao Colleges.
The successful conduct of the 2nd Quarter Meeting further strengthened MOAFWCโs commitment to advancing workplace family welfare through active collaboration and shared support among member organizations across the province.
