Patuloy na ipinakikita ng ating mga barangay ang kahalagahan ng 𝙙𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 sa lokal na pamahalaan. Kinikilala natin ang Top 5 Barangay na may pinakamataas na bilang 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙝𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙨 sa pamamagitan ng 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢 (𝘽𝙄𝙈𝙎), bilang patunay ng kanilang dedikasyon sa maayos, episyente, at makabagong pamamahala ng impormasyon.

Isang taos-pusong pagbati sa Barangay Dita, Cuenca, Batangas sa pagkamit ng unang puwesto na may kabuuang 4,062 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙝𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙨 . Ipinakikita nito ang kanilang kahusayan at matibay na dedikasyon sa pagpapatupad ng LGUSS-BIMS.

Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon ang tagumpay na ito sa iba pang mga barangay upang higit pang mapalakas ang paggamit ng makabagong teknolohiya tungo sa mas mahusay at mas epektibong serbisyo publiko.

LOOK | The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Tuy actively participated in the Joint Meeting of the Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC), Local Council Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (LCAT-VAWC), and Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC).

The activity served as a venue to discuss updates, programs, and initiatives aimed at strengthening nutrition governance, protecting the rights and welfare of women and children, and enhancing the delivery of social services in the municipality.

The meeting served as an avenue to discuss programs, initiatives, and collaborative efforts aimed at promoting literacy and improving educational outcomes within the community. Through the collective commitment of local stakeholders, the municipality continues to advance its goal of fostering an empowered, informed, and literate citizenry.

READ | DILG Urges Immediate Safety Checks on Buildings and Infrastructure Following Southern Mindanao Earthquakes

In the wake of the recent magnitude 7.8 and 6.7 earthquakes that struck Southern Mindanao, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has directed affected local government units (LGUs) to immediately inspect buildings, public infrastructure, and residential houses to help ensure the safety of communities as aftershocks continue.

Through an advisory issued to Governors, City and Municipal Mayors, and DILG Regional and Provincial Directors in Regions IX, XI, and XII, the Department called on Building Officials, City and Municipal Engineers, and other concerned offices to conduct rapid structural assessments of affected structures, particularly those located in heavily impacted areas or showing visible signs of damage.

The DILG stressed that buildings must be assessed and cleared before people are allowed to return. Where structures are found to be unsafe, LGUs are advised to take immediate protective measures, including evacuation and temporary relocation, to prevent further risk to residents.

The Department also directed LGUs to closely coordinate with the DPWH, DOST-PHIVOLCS, BFP, and local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (DRRMOs) in carrying out inspections, validating damage reports, and implementing necessary interventions.

The advisory is aligned with the DILG's continuing implementation of its Infrastructure Audit (IA) Program, which helps equip LGUs with the tools and capacity to assess the structural integrity of public infrastructure.

A key component of the program is the Harmonized IA Tool, developed in consultation with various stakeholders. The tool provides LGUs with a standardized and science-based framework for evaluating the condition and safety of government facilities.

To date, the DILG has trained 854 LGUs nationwide on the proper use of the Harmonized IA Tool, including 208 LGUs in Mindanao.

As of May 15, 2026, the IA Program has recorded 3,302 LGU-owned buildings across Mindanao, with most already undergoing rapid visual screening and detailed building inspections.

According to the Department, these assessments enable local governments to identify facilities that may need further structural evaluation, corrective maintenance, or other interventions to ensure public safety and the uninterrupted delivery of essential services.

“While earthquakes cannot be predicted, their impacts can be reduced through sound engineering, proactive governance, and regular infrastructure assessments,” the Department said.

Ipinagpatuloy ng DILG Tuy ang regular na barangay visitation ngayong Hunyo upang higit pang mapalakas ang ugnayan sa mga barangay at masiguro ang maayos na pagpapatupad ng mga programa at serbisyong pampamahalaan.

Sa pagbisita sa Barangay Acle at Tuyon-Tuyon, nagkaroon ng pagkakataon ang DILG na makipagpulong at makipag-ugnayan sa mga Punong Barangay at ilang Brgy. Functionaries. Tiningnan din kung compliant ang mga barangay sa kanilang mga Full Disclosure Policy (FDP) boards.
