Look: The Coast Guard District North Eastern Luzon (CGDNELZN), led by District Commander Commodore Gary Dale C Gimotea PCG, together with Deputy Commander Lieutenant Commander Rochelle T Clarin PCG, conferred the convening of Maritime Tactical Skills Training 25-01.
This district, along with the United States CounterpartโSpecial Boat Detachment 4131 (SBD-A 4131)โand Coastal Troop THREE, will jointly conduct the Maritime Tactical Skills Training 25-01 in the vicinity of waters off Sta. Ana, Cagayan today, March 11, 2025.
The training is a combined U.S.-Philippine Military-to-Military Contact (M2MC) event, featuring 30 CGDNELZN participants and 15 U.S. troops. The curriculum includes Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Casualty Evacuation (CASEVAC), Small Craft Handling, Small Boat Interdiction (SBI), Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS), Maritime Mission Planning, Maritime Domain Awareness, and Maritime Response.
The purpose of this training is to enhance operational effectiveness, interoperability, and security in the maritime domain of our area of responsibility. This effort reinforces the alliance, enhances defense readiness, and promotes a stronger, more secure maritime environment.
Alongside this activity are Commander of SOG-NELZN Lieutenant Commander Benjamin A Misador Jr PCG, Commander of Baywatch Patrol Unit NELZN Lieutenant Junior Grade Deborah D Magannon PCG, and Deputy Commander Baywatch Patrol Unit NELZN Ensign Chrislen B Barsatan PCG.
Also present in the activity is the Acting Station Commander of Coast Guard Station Cagayan, Lieutenant Junior Grade Anabel R Paet PCG, as well as the Commander of Coast Guard Sub-Station Sta. Ana Ensign Cyril Mark V Lominio PCG and District Master Chief Petty Officer Ferdinand S Bartolome PCG.
