Municipal Vice Mayor Maria L. Carantes concluded the event with closing remarks on July 1, 2026 at the Old PNP Building, Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. declared Wednesday, July 15, 2026, a special non-working day in the Cordillera Administrative Region, which marks the 39th Founding Anniversary of the region.

Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto signed Proclamation No. 1334, by the authority of President Marcos Jr., to declare July 15, 2026, a special non-working day in the Cordillera region.

“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the Cordillera Administrative Region be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration,” the proclamation reads.

The Regional Development Council – Cordillera, through the Sectoral Committee on Economic Development with the province of Benguet, is hosting this year’s celebration with a monthlong schedule of activities scheduled. This will be highlighted by the Cordillera Day main program on July 15, 2026, at the Benguet Sports Complex in La Trinidad, Benguet.

This year’s celebration anchored on the theme, “Smart Cordillera: Enabling Local Enterprises through Digital Transformation and Accelerated Regional Autonomy.”
