With fuel prices rising, even a simple plate of food has become a luxury. So he settles for what little he has… a few bites, sometimes just enough to silence the hunger, sometimes not enough at all.
Every peso saved from food goes to fuel. Every skipped meal becomes another kilometer on the road. Because for him, an empty stomach is easier to bear than going home empty-handed.
While others stop to rest, he keeps driving. While others eat comfortably, he counts coins. The money that should have been for lunch is poured into the tank, just so he can continue the day’s pasada.
This is a father choosing fuel over food.
This is sacrifice in its quietest, most painful form.
He drives through hunger. He works through exhaustion. He swallows his pride, his fatigue, and sometimes… even his own need to eat…all for the family waiting at home.
