The Department of Trade and Industry DTI Tarlac, through the Negosyo Center Capas, in coordination with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) – Tarlac, conducted the DTI x BDOF: Unlocking Entrepreneurial Potential Seminar. The event was attended by 30 potential MSMEs eager to strengthen their entrepreneurial knowledge and financial management skills.

The seminar focused on equipping participants with essential competencies in entrepreneurship and financial literacy to ensure enterprise sustainability and growth. Topics included budgeting, savings discipline, responsible credit use, and the application of financial management practices to foster resilience and competitiveness.

By the end of the session, participants gained valuable insights into how sound financial practices and entrepreneurial innovation can serve as powerful drivers of business success. The seminar encouraged MSMEs to adopt resource‑based strategies, enhance competitiveness, and maximize opportunities in both local and digital marketplaces.

Members of the Ventinilla Marketing Cooperative of Paniqui, Tarlac participated in a skills training on soy processing, where they learned techniques and were introduced to additional products that could further diversify their existing soy product line.

During the training, participants learned how to produce soy longganisa and soy embutido, potential additions to the cooperative's current product offerings.

Currently, Ventinilla Marketing Cooperative produces and sells soymilk and chilled taho to selected institutions.

Through the training, the cooperative is expected to explore more value-added soy products and opportunities to diversify its offerings and reach a wider market.

On August 19, 2026, DTI Tarlac, through Negosyo Center Victoria, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Tarlac - Tarlac Center for Learning and Skills Success (PGT-TCLASS), conducted a Skills Training on Bread Making attended by 20 formers OFW and family members of OFWs of Barangay Calibungan, Victoria Tarlac.

The training aimed to equip the participants with bread-making skills that can be utilized to start a livelihood activity. Through hands-on learning, participants gained experience in preparing and making various bread products, including pizza, Spanish bread, donuts, pandesal, and pan de coco.

DTI Tarlac, through the Negosyo Center San Jose, in coordination with the Provincial Government of Tarlac – Tarlac Center for Learning and Skills Success (PGT-TCLASS) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) San Jose, conducted a Bread Making Training for 16 members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) on August 18, 2026.

The training aimed to equip participants with practical bread-making skills that they can use to start or enhance a livelihood activity. Through this initiative, they gained hands on experience on the process of making pizza, spanish bread, donuts, pandesal, and pan de coco.

The event was attended by 27 potential MSME participants who were eager to strengthen their knowledge of modern marketing strategies.

The seminar focused on equipping participants with practical skills in promoting their products and services through digital platforms. Topics included effective use of social media channels, building brand presence online, and leveraging marketing tools to reach wider audiences.

By the end of the session, participants gained valuable insights into how social media can serve as a powerful driver of business growth. The seminar encouraged MSMEs to adopt innovative promotional techniques, enhance competitiveness, and maximize opportunities in the digital marketplace.

Twenty members of the Fonacier Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries from Mayantoc, Tarlac, were capacitated through skills training on eggplant processing conducted by DTI Tarlac under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).

The initiative aimed to help the association add value to its surplus eggplant produce and explore potential income-generating opportunities.
During the activity, the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) learned how to prepare eggplant finger fries, burger patties, veggie balls, and moussaka (eggplant lasagna).
