On August 31, 2026, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Dumadalig marked the culmination of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 with a meaningful tree-planting activity along the roadside from Purok 10 toward Purok 9βSitio Elnaf.
The activity brought together the youth of Barangay Dumadalig, barangay officials, SK officials, purok presidents, and Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs), who joined hands in promoting environmental responsibility and strengthening community participation.
More than an environmental initiative, the tree-planting activity represents the continuing commitment of SK Dumadalig to encourage young people to take an active role in protecting and caring for the environment. It has become a significant part of the annual Linggo ng Kabataan celebration, with this yearβs activity marking its third consecutive year.
Through the collective efforts of the participants, the activity demonstrated that meaningful environmental action begins with community involvement. The participation of young people alongside barangay leaders and community volunteers further highlighted the importance of cooperation across generations in building a greener and more sustainable Barangay Dumadalig.
As Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 concluded, the tree-planting activity served as a lasting reminder that the youth can contribute not only through leadership and service but also through concrete actions that benefit future generations.
