TESO-Talisay,March 30,2026- Students from Colegio de San Nicolas Tolentino-Recoletos and Notre Dame Talisay took part in the SPARK Academy Batch 3 for StartUp101 Series, Igniting ideas and building future entrepreneurs!

From innovative start-up concepts, Emerging Techpreneurship to confident pitching, highlights included outstanding Top Ideas and and presentations showcasing creativity and real community impact.

Aligned with the ASENSO Talisay Platform under Mayor Weng Lizares in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology(DICT-Negros Occidental), The Filipino Web3, and The Cryptology Academy, this initiative continues to empower the youth towards our strategic position of becoming a City of Modern Heritage where digital ecosystem thrives and drives the economy.

Through SPARK Academy, the City Government continues to empower the youth to become future entrepreneurs and drivers of inclusive economic development spearheaded by the City Economic Development and Investment Promotion  Office (CTEIPO)led by Mr.Ismael P. Penado.

Talisay City, Negros Occidental — The S.P.A.R.K. Academy: Start-Up 101 successfully conducted its second batch of sessions, this time engaging enthusiastic Senior High School students from Rafael B. Lacson Memorial High School.
Continuing its mission to ignite innovation among the youth, the program carried the theme “Ignite Your Entrepreneurial Future,” equipping students with foundational knowledge on entrepreneurship, start-up development, and idea generation.
Held at the Talisay Senior High Innovation Hub, the session provided a dynamic and interactive learning environment where students explored how to identify real-world problems and transform them into practical business solutions. Participants actively collaborated, developed start-up concepts, and presented their ideas with confidence.
The program is aligned with the ASENSO Talisay Platform under the leadership of Mayor Weng Lizares, which promotes — grassroots-driven economic development. The initiative empowers young individuals to become catalysts of innovation and progress within their communities.
The S.P.A.R.K. Academy is spearheaded by the City of Talisay Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (CTEIPO), headed by Ismael Penado, as part of the City Government’s commitment to youth development and enterprise building.
The City Government extends its sincere appreciation to its partners, including the Department of Information and Communications Technology – Negros Occidental, for their continued support in integrating digital innovation and entrepreneurial learning into the program.
With the successful completion of its second batch, the S.P.A.R.K. Academy continues to build momentum in shaping future-ready, innovative, and entrepreneurial Talisaynons.
More batches are scheduled in the coming weeks as part of the City’s sustained efforts to invest in youth development and inclusive economic growth.
