To our honorable Mayor Renz Sulatan Jr., Vice Mayor Vergito Factura, fellow Councilors, Department Heads, especially to our Municipal Adinistrator Alberto Bigcas, Uniformed Personnel, Barangay Officials, guests, and the people of our beloved municipality βGood Morning, Maayad ha Masulom.
Today marks 28 days since I took the oath of office β a short span in time, yet filled with meaningful learning, honest conversations, and the beginnings of important work. It has been a time of listening more than speaking, understanding more than acting, and laying a strong foundation before building anything new.
I want to begin by expressing my deepest gratitude to the people who entrusted me with this responsibility. Your faith in me is not something I take lightly. Every single day, I am reminded that public service is not a position of power β it is a position of responsibility, humility, and service.
In these 28 days, I have met with community members, spoken with civil servants, and walked through our streets with a fresh pair of eyes β not just as a resident, but as a representative. Iβve heard your hopes, your frustrations, and your ideas. Iβve seen the challenges we face β from infrastructure gaps and service delivery concerns to youth unemployment. But I have also seen our greatest strength: the resilience and spirit of our people.
This early period has been about laying the groundwork. I have begun engaging in policy discussions, participating in council meetings, and joining hands with fellow councilors to align our goals. Progress, of course, doesnβt happen overnight. But I am committed to the long-term β to consistency, to accountability, and to transparent leadership.
As we look ahead, my focus will remain on inclusive development, community-driven projects, and ensuring that every voice β especially those often unheard β is part of our decision-making process. I am here not to promise perfection, but to promise effort, presence, and integrity every single day.
This convocation is more than a ceremony. It is a symbol of commitment β that your leaders are united in purpose, ready to face challenges with transparency, and driven by a common goal: to make our municipality more progressive, more inclusive, and more resilient.
Let us move forward together β with vision, courage, and compassion.
To my fellow officials: may we always put service above self.
To our constituents: know that your voices matter β and I am here to hear them.
To our youth, elders, workers, and families: you are the heart of this community, and you are the reason we serve.
