A once-thought-of act of love for their child created opportunities and became a well-known go-to comfort place in Tacloban.
Made from scratch, Mr. Galvin Ray and Maine Contreras prided themselves on their donut recipes, which led them to start a home-based business during the COVID-19 pandemic. The story started when their son, Grey, craved a donut during the restrictions of lockdown. When they got a box for their son, it wasn't to their liking, so they found themselves watching tutorials and creating their own version.
Now, as the business continues to grow, a need to produce more without sacrificing quality makes them find new ways to innovate. Through the ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต๐ป๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐'๐ ๐ฆ๐บ๐ฎ๐น๐น ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต๐ป๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ ๐จ๐ฝ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ (๐๐ข๐ฆ๐ง ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐จ๐ฃ), implemented by DOST Leyte, the enterprise acquired a Semi-Automatic Rounder Divider, Half Bag Dough Mixer, and Planetary Mixer. These upgrades enhanced dough preparation, fermentation, and overall consistency, enabling them to scale up production without compromising the handcrafted quality of every batch.
As of today, they are now producing 1,000 pieces of donuts a day with 20โ30 flavors, including seasonal ones.
