Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), μ—˜μ—μŠ€μ›¨μ–΄ LSware Co., Ltd., μ„±κ· κ΄€λŒ€ν•™κ΅-Sungkyunkwan University, and KCOPA Manila Representative Office held an international technology information exchange with the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group on an R&D platform designed to support international joint investigations of copyright crimes.

Mr. Kim Hyun-Soo of LSware Co., Ltd. presented the R&D platform, and the parties exchanged insights and discussed potential improvements to better adapt the platform to the Philippine context.

The 2026 Philippines-Korea Copyright Forum brought together copyright experts and stakeholders to discuss key issues on copyright protection and enforcement in the digital environment, as well as emerging challenges in the music collective management industry amid AI and digital-driven innovations.

The forum provided a platform for knowledge-sharing and collaboration between the two countries as they work toward a stronger copyright ecosystem that supports creators and the creative industries.

The forum, held in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Copyright Protection Agency (KCOPA), also builds on the longstanding bilateral cooperation between the Philippines and Korea on copyright. Discussions in previous bilateral meetings have covered emerging copyright issues including AI, copyright education and public awareness, collective management organizations, cooperation in addressing online copyright infringement and illegal websites, as well as capacity-building through benchmarking, study visits, and exchange programs.
