From the fundamentals of the Philippine Coast Guard healthcare system to essential emergency care competencies, each module has been designed to develop competent, confident, disciplined, and mission-ready ๐๐ผ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต๐ป๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป๐.

The students were oriented to the PCG healthcare system, including existing health facilities and clinics, the Technical Service Commands involved in healthcare delivery, and the importance of coordination, collaboration, and teamwork among healthcare personnel and service commands.
The module also introduced students to the organizational structure of health facilities and nursing services, in-service training opportunities, career development, and the duties and responsibilities of a Healthcare Technicianโwith emphasis on health, welfare, safety, professionalism, and quality patient care.

The focus then shifted to core clinical subjects, strengthening the students' knowledge and understanding of:

Through didactic instruction, demonstrations, return demonstrations, and practical skills sessions, students developed foundational competencies necessary for providing safe and effective care in both outpatient and inpatient clinical settings.
MODULE 5 | EMERGENCY & PRE-HOSPITAL CARE
Beyond conventional clinical practice, CGHTSC Class 02-2026 was equipped with essential emergency and pre-hospital care competencies through specialized training in:
๐ฉบ Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)
๐ Standard First Aid (SFA) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
โ๏ธ Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)
These competencies strengthen the students' ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies, maritime incidents, disasters, austere environments, and other high-stress operational situations where immediate and appropriate healthcare intervention may be critical.
As the class moves forward, the lessons learned and skills developed during the Didactic Phase will serve as their foundation for the next stage of their journey.
