JANUARY 29, 2026 || BSA MONTHLY MEETING
The Barangay Secretariesโ 1st Monthly Meeting for Calendar Year 2026 was successfully conducted to orient and update barangay secretaries on key program requirements, report monitoring, and compliance with national and municipal directives. The meeting was facilitated with the presence of MLGOO Ms. Sheila Gesta together with DILG Staff Ms. Ruby Dandan Maaรฑo, who provided guidance and clarifications on various governance-related concerns.
During the meeting, focused on the monitoring of reports and strict adherence to submission deadlines for the following barangay programs and mandates:

VAW/VAC.

Barangay secretaries were reminded of the importance of timely and accurate submission of reports to ensure compliance, effective program implementation, and positive assessment results.
Further discussed was the submission of Functionality Audit Forms for key barangay councils and committees, specifically the

Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC),

Barangay Peace and Order Council (BPOC),

Violence Against Women (VAW) Desk,

Barangay Development Council (BDC),

Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC), and

Barangay Nutrition Committee (BNC).
On which will be the basis for the search for Best Performing Barangay Based Institution. Participants were guided on the proper completion and consolidation of required documents.
The meeting also included a briefing on the search for the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) at the Municipal Level, highlighting the criteria, documentary requirements, and the role of barangay secretaries in ensuring complete and organized records.
In addition, updates and reminders were provided regarding the application for retention of Drug-Cleared Barangay Status, underscoring the need for sustained anti-drug efforts, proper documentation, and coordination with concerned agencies.
Overall, the meeting served as an important platform for strengthening coordination, enhancing administrative efficiency, and ensuring that barangays remain compliant with existing laws, policies, and performance standards for CY 2026.
