Look: MRVNHS successfully held its annual Technical-Vocational (Tech-Voc) Commemoration on August 22, with a program that showcased the knowledge, skills, and competencies of its Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) students. The activity, which took place on campus, was attended by DepEd Leyte personnel, teachers, and learners, reflecting the institution’s continuing commitment to quality education and workforce readiness.

The commemoration featured a series of skill demonstrations, exhibits, and competitions in various fields such as cookery, SMAW, EIM, and cosmetology. These activities provided students the opportunity to demonstrate their technical expertise and apply their classroom learning to practical, real-world contexts.

On behalf of the entire MRVNHS family, we sincerely extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Gerry B. Ranes, Division EPS, TVE/TVL/TLE Coordinator, Mrs. Olivia Manasis, Division EPS, Dr. Necia Nedruda, Division EPS and other Division Personnel, who attended and supported the annual Tech-Voc Commemoration. Your presence served as a source of encouragement and inspiration to our students, teachers, and school community.

Your valuable time and commitment signify not only your support for MRVNHS but also your dedication to advancing technical-vocational education in our schools. 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲! ✨

On August 22, 2025, everyone at MRVNHS came together to celebrate Tech-Voc Day, organized by the TVE Department. It was a super fun event that showed off the skills of our students in different areas.

The day was filled with excitement and surprises, featuring a series of engaging activities that captivated both participants and attendees alike. Among the highlights were thrilling raffle draws and a variety of competitions tailored to different majors. The festivities culminated in a vibrant food bazaar, where attendees enjoyed a delightful array of culinary offerings prepared by our talented students.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed Principal, Dr. Maria Maida B. Flores, for her unwavering support and leadership. Our sincere appreciation also goes to the entire TVE Department, headed by Master Teachers Mr. Archimedes M. Delalamon and Mrs. Ma. Lyzel G. Penedilla, and SHS Coordinator Mr. Jose A. Lato, as well as all teaching and non-teaching staff members whose dedication made this event possible. Most importantly, we thank our enthusiastic students, whose participation and cooperation were vital to the program's success.

As we reflect on this year's Tech-Voc Day, we are filled with excitement for the next program. We look forward to sharing even more thrilling activities and opportunities for our students to shine. Look: Marcelino R. Veloso National High School (MRVNHS) recently attended a two-day district-based capacity building on the Expanded Career Progression System (ECPS) held at Tabango National High School (TNHS) on August 15-16, 2025.

The ECPS aims to enhance the career development of public school teachers by providing a clear framework for career progression. This framework enables teachers to pursue professional growth and advancement opportunities, aligning with the Department of Education's (DepEd) goals.

In a commitment to strengthen school-community partnership, MRVNHS successfully conducted the School Governance Council (SGC) Orientation and Election of Officers on August 8, 2025 at MRVNHS ICT Room.

The orientation aimed to inform stakeholders about the roles and responsibilities of the SGC in supporting the school’s programs and initiatives. Faculty members, community representatives, and other stakeholders actively participated in the event.

Following the orientation, the election of new SGC officers was held, resulting in the selection of dedicated individuals who will serve as partners in promoting quality education and student development.

School officials expressed their gratitude to all participants, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the school and its stakeholders in achieving educational goals.

Datapwa't sa kaayang-ayang entablado ipinapakita, ang husay at galing ipinamalas sa maputik na tanghalan. Gayunpaman patuloy pa ring iwinawagayway ang kultura ng pagka-Pilipino.Banaag ito ng pagiging matatag at makabayan.

Sa bawat indak at galaw, sa pagbulosok ng ulan,nanaig pa rin ang init ng tapang at dedikasyon upang ipamalas ang angking husay at talento sa tanghalan.

𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 🥬
The SSLG officers, together with the MAPEH and AP Department, aligned with the SSLG-MRVNHS GPOA (General Plan of Action) for the school year 2025-2026, entitled "Healthy Bayanihan: Nutrition Month Feeding Program," successfully fed more than a hundred at-risk students on July 31, 2025. The meal included Aroz Caldo, Vegetable Lumpia, Bananas, Papayas, Fresh Buko Juice, and Utan Bisaya.
This program was made possible thanks to our generous sponsors: Inangatan Integrated Women’s Farmers Association for the four trays of eggs and six large papayas; Arnold Salondro for the fresh buko; Kheisha Dalut for the fresh bananas; and Avisha Carel for the 50 disposable cups. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for their contributions.
The SSLG officers were instrumental in preparing the necessary items, cooking the eggs, preparing the food, and serving it to the students. Their hard work ensured that the feeding program was successfully launched.
We would like to express our deep gratitude to our principal, Dr. Maria Maida B. Flores; our Master Teacher in the TVE Department, Mrs. Maria Lyzel G. Penedilla; and our Master Teacher in the MAPEH & AP Department, Mrs. Miladiey Capendit, as well as to all the teachers who assisted in the preparations alongside the SSLG officers. Their unwavering support and dedication played a crucial role in the success of the feeding program.
Looking ahead, the SSLG Officers are committed to organizing more initiatives that benefit our community. We hope that with continued collaboration and support, we can bring even more blessings and opportunities to our students. Together, we can create a healthier and more nurturing environment for everyone.
