This advisory is based on local campus data sourced from the Automatic Weather Stationโ€”Project FARMโ€”which is managed by DOST-SDS, LGU-San Miguel, NEMSU-San Miguel, and San Miguel Farmers Enterprise, alongside other reliable forecast systems such as Weather Underground.

The week kicks off with oppressive heat on Monday and Tuesday, bringing Partly Cloudy skies and blistering peak temperatures of 36ยฐC. Rain probabilities stay moderate during this opening period, showing a 44% chance on Monday night and a 43% chance on Tuesday afternoon.

Atmospheric patterns shift drastically on Wednesday, prompting a five-day sequence of Partly Rainy weather. Wednesday bears the weekโ€™s highest precipitation risk at 73% from 11 AM to 8 PM, dipping to a high of 33ยฐC. Showers remain steady through Thursday (55%) and Friday (56%) at 34ยฐC, extending over Saturday (54%) and Sunday (57%), where daytime highs flatten to 33ยฐC and nighttime lows drop to 22ยฐC.

Because of these sudden fluctuations, students and personnel must take necessary safety precautions. Staying hydrated is vital during the early heat, while carrying an umbrella daily is mandatory starting Wednesday to shield against daytime downpours. Please watch for localized university updates to ensure a secure and efficient week.

The Information Office of North Eastern Mindanao State Universityโ€”San Miguel Campus issues this weekly advisory to all students, employees, and surrounding communities concerning the meteorological conditions and their potential impacts for the period of June 1โ€“7, 2026.

The weather outlook for the first week of June indicates an exceptionally wet and unstable atmospheric pattern, characterized by heavy downpours, high precipitation percentages, and active thunderstorm cycles. The week kicks off on Monday with a severe Rain/Thunderstorm warning, carrying a staggering 93% chance of heavy rainfall that spans from 10 AM to 9 PM, accompanied by a high temperature of 35ยฐC. Tuesday transitions briefly to Partly Rainy conditions with a 74% rain probability, bringing a lower daytime high of 32ยฐC. However, intense weather returns on Wednesday with another Rain/Thunderstorm declaration, packing an 83% chance of rain between 10 AM and 9 PM and the week's highest nighttime low of 24ยฐC.

The wet conditions persist uninterrupted through the latter part of the week and into the weekend. Thursday and Friday are both classified as Partly Rainy, maintaining high precipitation risks at 73% (9 AM to 8 PM) and 75% (11 AM to 9 PM), respectively, with Friday's heat climbing back up to 35ยฐC. Over the weekend, while rain probabilities drop slightly, they remain highly disruptive. Saturday carries a 63% chance of rain between 1 PM and 6 PM, while Sunday concludes the week with a 55% chance of rainfall between 11 AM and 6 PM. Both weekend days will maintain a consistent daytime high of 34ยฐC and a nighttime low of 23ยฐC.

Please be heavily guided that this week marks the official start of the preparation for the upcoming campus graduation ceremonies. Because five out of seven days carry rain probabilities at or above 73%, and two days feature full thunderstorm warnings, logistical planning must be handled with extreme care. Committee members, working groups, and student baccalaureate coordinators are strongly advised to schedule stage construction, physical decorations, and outdoor rehearsals around the designated morning dry windows, as heavy rain is consistently projected to dominate the afternoons and evenings. Having alternative indoor venues, such as gymnasiums or covered auditoriums, fully prepped for rehearsals, is highly recommended to prevent severe delays in the commencement timeline.

As the campus transitions into a busy event-planning phase amidst high humidity and frequent downpours, personal safety and health should not be compromised. The combination of 34ยฐCโ€“35ยฐC temperatures and constant moisture will result in sticky, exhausting conditions that require proper hydration and well-ventilated workspaces. Anyone transporting sensitive electronics, sound systems, or graduation regalia across campus must utilize waterproof coverings to prevent water damage. Please stay tuned to the Information Office for real-time adjustments and localized weather alerts as graduation milestones get underway.

The second and final day of the Training of Trainers (TOT) on the Production and Application of White and Green Muscardines has reached a graceful conclusion. The technical sessions primarily highlighted the strategic use and field applications of entomopathogenic fungi (EPFs) to optimize efficacy against insect pests of cacao, coconut, and coffee crops. Moving beyond theoretical frameworks, it also focused on administrative and logistical preparations, ensuring the innovative trainers are thoroughly equipped to replicate these critical instructional modules within their respective farming associations and cooperatives.

โ€‹Throughout the training, participants maintained highly dynamic, collaborative interactions with the keynote speakers and technical moderators, showing a strong commitment in adopting the technology. By closing the knowledge-to-practice gap, the workshop established a firm baseline for self-sustaining localized training networks.

โ€‹Nevertheless, the collaborative training marks the beginning of an enduring partnership between the North Eastern Mindanao State University โ€” San Miguel Campus and the Department of Trade and Industry โ€“ Surigao del Sur. This institutional partnership remains committed in expanding agricultural extensions that harmonize provincial food security with proactive environmental stewardship. Through such joint ventures, both agencies will continue to champion technological innovation as a cornerstone for resilient, sustainable agricultural development across the province.

The Information Office of North Eastern Mindanao State Universityโ€”San Miguel Campus issues this weekly advisory to all students, employees, and surrounding communities concerning the meteorological conditions and their potential impacts for the period of May 25โ€“31, 2026.

The weather forecast for this final week of May indicates an unbroken, highly consistent pattern of hot and humid days paired with daily precipitation. In an unusual meteorological stretch, every single day from Monday through Sunday is forecast to experience Partly Rainy conditions. Daytime high temperatures will remain intensely uniform, holding steady at a sweltering 34ยฐC from Monday all the way through Saturday, before peaking slightly at 35ยฐC on Sunday. Early morning and nighttime low temperatures will also remain remarkably stable, hovering at 23ยฐC for nearly the entire week, with a negligible one-degree dip to 22ยฐC only on Saturday.

Rainfall probabilities will fluctuate daily but will remain a constant presence during core campus hours. Monday starts with a 62% chance of rain extending from 6 AM to 5 PM. Tuesday sees a slight drop to a 54% chance (10 AM to 9 PM), while both Wednesday and Thursday stabilize at a 58% chance of mid-day and evening showers. Heading into the weekend, Friday climbs back up to a 62% rain probability (10 AM to 8 PM), followed by the week's lowestโ€”yet still notableโ€”precipitation chance on Saturday at 51%. The week concludes on Sunday with the highest risk of rainfall at 67% with an extensive wet window from 8 AM to 11 PM.

Please be guided that this week is a highly critical period for the university, as it is simultaneously designated as the schedule for the compliance of all requirements for enrolled courses as well as the schedule for various non-academic activities on campus. In addition to students finalizing their academic marks, the campus will also be hosting a large number of visitors coming from different parts of Surigao del Sur to participate in these non-academic events. This dual scheduling means the university will experience significantly higher foot traffic, crowded facilities, and increased transit needs throughout the week.

Adding to the week's complex scheduling, Wednesday, May 27, 2026, has been officially declared a regular national holiday across the country in observance of Eid'l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice). Consequently, standard academic functions, compliance submissions, and administrative office operations will be temporarily paused on this day. Students racing against final deadlines and organizers handling the regional visitor delegations must proactively adjust their timelines to accommodate this mid-week closure, ensuring that critical document hand-ins and non-academic events are completed on the surrounding operational days.

Because "Partly Rainy" conditions span all seven days, everyone must plan ahead to minimize logistical disruptions. Students submitting physical projects, clearances, or final portfolios are strongly urged to pack all documents in waterproof materials to safeguard them from sudden downpours during travel. Event organizers and personnel handling the influx of regional visitors must prepare alternative indoor venues or secure heavy-duty tents, as the high humidity paired with a 34ยฐC average temperature will make outdoor gatherings uncomfortable and highly susceptible to afternoon rain interruptions. Carrying an umbrella daily, wearing breathable attire, and staying well-hydrated remain mandatory precautions to ensure a successful, hospitable, and safe week for our students and guests alike.

The Information Office of North Eastern Mindanao State Universityโ€”San Miguel Campus issues this weekly advisory to all students, employees, and surrounding communities concerning the meteorological conditions and their potential impacts for the period of May 18โ€“24, 2026.

The weather forecast for this week indicates a highly variable pattern of intense heat mixed with frequent, significant rain showers. Monday begins with Partly Rainy conditions, a 35ยฐC high, and a 53% chance of rainfall concentrated in the afternoon between 2 PM and 5 PM. Tuesday and Thursday offer slight reprieves as the only Partly Cloudy days of the week; however, Thursday will also be the hottest day, surging to a peak high temperature of 36ยฐC. Wedged between them, Wednesday returns to Partly Rainy skies with a 54% rain chance. The latter half of the week, from Friday through Sunday, shifts into a persistently wet pattern, with all three days classified as partly rainy. Friday features the week's highest precipitation risk at 79% between 8 AM and 4 PM, followed by Saturday at 57% and Sunday at 60%. Nighttime low temperatures will remain consistently warm, fluctuating between 22ยฐC and 24ยฐC.

Please be guided by the fact that this week is the schedule for the final examinations. The combination of academic stress and erratic weather means that preparation is absolutely essential. Students commuting to campus must carry dependable rain gear every day, as five out of the seven days are forecasted as "Partly Rainy," with a particularly severe 79% chance of downpours on Friday that could easily disrupt transit or damage exam materials. Additionally, the extreme heat on Thursday (36ยฐC) requires everyone to stay well-hydrated to maintain focus and avoid heat-related illnesses during their tests. We urge the entire academic community to prioritize both their studies and their health by monitoring these weather shifts closely as we close out the semester.

The Information Office of North Eastern Mindanao State Universityโ€”San Miguel Campus issues this weekly advisory to all students, employees, and surrounding communities concerning the meteorological conditions and their potential impacts for the period of May 11โ€“17, 2026.

The weather forecast for this week indicates a prolonged period of intense, scorching heat paired with daily chances of afternoon and evening precipitation. From Monday through Thursday, the campus will experience consistently severe daytime high temperatures of 36ยฐC, coupled with Partly Rainy conditions. During these four days, the probability of rainfall steadily increases each day, starting at 50% on Monday and peaking at a significant 66% chance by Thursday. These rain events are predominantly expected between the late morning and early evening hours, with Thursday's rain window stretching extensively from 9 AM to 9 PM.

As the week approaches its end, the weather will transition to slightly drier, partly cloudy conditions from Friday to Sunday. While the extreme heat lessens slightly, daytime highs remain very warm, registering at 35ยฐC on Friday and Sunday and 34ยฐC on Saturday. Rain probabilities will decrease heading into the weekend, dropping to 27% on Friday and hitting a weekly low of 18% on Saturday, before rising back to a moderate 45% chance on Sunday. Nighttime temperatures throughout the entire week will remain notably warm and muggy, fluctuating only between 22ยฐC and 24ยฐC.

With extreme temperatures consistently reaching 36ยฐC early in the week, students and personnel must prioritize heat safety by staying hydrated, seeking shaded or well-ventilated areas, and minimizing strenuous outdoor activities during peak sun hours. Furthermore, the combination of intense heat and frequent "Partly Rainy" afternoons means high humidity and sudden downpours are likely; carrying an umbrella daily is strongly advised to protect against both the intense sun and sudden rain showers. Staying updated with localized weather alerts remains mandatory to ensure a safe week on campus.

The Information Office of North Eastern Mindanao State Universityโ€”San Miguel Campus issues this weekly advisory to all students, employees, and surrounding communities concerning the meteorological conditions and their potential impacts for the period of May 4โ€“10, 2026. This advisory is based on local campus data from the Automatic Weather Stationโ€”Project FARMโ€”managed by DOST-SDS, LGU-San Miguel, NEMSU-San Miguel, and San Miguel Farmers Enterprise, as well as other reliable forecast systems such as Weather Underground.

The weather forecast for this week indicates a distinct fluctuation in weather patterns, starting with intense heat, moving into heavy mid-week precipitation, and clearing up again for the weekend. Monday through Wednesday will feature Partly Cloudy skies with minimal precipitation, as rain chances range only from 15% on Tuesday to 29% on Wednesday. During this initial stretch, daytime high temperatures will be intensely warm, reaching 33ยฐC on Monday and peaking at 34ยฐC on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Nighttime and early-morning temperatures will remain warm and consistent, hovering between 22ยฐC and 23ยฐC.

A significant weather disruption is anticipated on Thursday, which is forecast to bring Rain/Thunderstorms alongside a severe 77% chance of rainfall stretching extensively from 4 AM to 7 PM. This wet pattern continues into Friday with Partly Rainy conditions and a high 65% chance of rain between 4 AM and 3 PM. Due to the rain, daytime high temperatures will briefly dip to 32ยฐC for both Thursday and Friday. By the weekend, the campus will see a return to drier and hotter conditions; Saturday and Sunday will revert to Partly Cloudy skies, with lower rain probabilities of 24% and 20% respectively, and soaring highs returning to 34ยฐC.

As the university community navigates the ongoing academic semester, students and personnel are highly advised to prepare for this week's dramatic weather shifts. The intense heat early in the week and over the weekend requires proactive hydration and sun protection. More importantly, the threat of continuous thunderstorms on Thursday necessitates immediate preparation; all commuters and campus pedestrians should carry durable umbrellas or rain gear and be cautious of potentially slippery walkways and localized pooling of water. Maintaining constant vigilance by monitoring localized weather updates remains mandatory to ensure a safe and productive week for everyone on campus.

The Information Office of North Eastern Mindanao State Universityโ€”San Miguel Campus issues this weekly advisory to all students, employees, and surrounding communities concerning the meteorological conditions and their potential impacts for the period of April 27โ€“May 3, 2026.

The weather forecast for this week indicates a persistent pattern of high temperatures combined with moderate to significant chances of precipitation. The week begins on Monday with Partly Rainy conditions, carrying a 52% chance of rain between 7 AM and 3 PM, alongside a high temperature of 34ยฐC. From Tuesday through Thursday, skies will transition to Partly Cloudy, though daily rain probabilities remain notable, hovering between 41% and 46%. Daytime highs during this mid-week stretch will remain intensely warm, reaching up to 35ยฐC on Thursday. As the week concludes, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will revert to Partly Rainy conditions, with precipitation chances peaking significantly at 62% on Saturday and 67% on Sunday. Nighttime and early-morning temperatures will generally range between 21ยฐC and 23ยฐC, with a notable dip to 19ยฐC on Friday.

Please be guided that this week is designated as the Schedule of the Pictorials for the Graduating Students of the campus. Given the dual threat of intense heat (peaking at 34ยฐC to 35ยฐC daily) and consistent rain probabilities, graduating students must plan their schedules and outfits accordingly. Students are highly encouraged to bring umbrellas and necessary protective gear to shield their formal wear, hair, and makeup from both sudden downpours and the sweltering midday sun. If pictorials are staged outdoors or involve transitioning between campus buildings, participants should take advantage of early morning slots or coordinate closely with the organizers regarding potential indoor alternatives during rain windows.

With a busy week ahead for the graduating batch and the rest of the academic community, maintaining proactive preventive health management is essential. The combination of 35ยฐC heat and incoming rain can create uncomfortable, humid conditions, making regular hydration and cooling breaks a priority. Staying updated with localized weather alerts remains necessary to ensure that the milestone events of our graduating students proceed smoothly, safely, and beautifully.
