In response to the request letter from the Surigao del Sur Maritime Police Station regarding the Marine Protected Area (MPA) Guard Training, Barangay San Pedro actively supported the initiative by sending four (4) participants to attend the training held on June 2, 2026, at Etan Beach Resort, Barangay Consuelo, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur.

The participants endorsed by Punong Barangay Armando Dodong Arizobal were Mr. Charlito Ruaza Jr., Mr. Bedo Ruaza, Mr. Efrin Efrin Dordas Jr.., and Mr. Joelito Joel Lugo . Their participation reflects the barangay's commitment to strengthening marine conservation efforts and protecting the coastal and marine resources within the municipality. Through this training, the participants gained valuable knowledge and skills that will help support the implementation and monitoring of marine protected areas in the community.

Monthly Flag Raising Ceremony and 2nd Quarter BDC Meeting

The Barangay Council of San Pedro, led by Punong Barangay Armando Dodong Arizobal , successfully conducted the monthly Flag Raising Ceremony followed by the 1st Quarter Barangay Development Council (BDC) Meeting.

During the meeting, Punong Barangay Arizobal presented the accomplishments and achievements of the barangay for the entire quarter, highlighting completed projects, ongoing programs, and community development initiatives. The activity also served as a venue for discussing plans and priorities for the coming months.

Notably, this was the first BDC meeting held at the newly constructed Barangay Multi-Purpose Hall, marking a significant milestone for the barangay. The new facility provides a more conducive and accessible venue for meetings, consultations, and other community activities, further strengthening local governance and public service delivery.

Punong Barangay Armando Dodong Arizobal of Barangay San Pedro Cantilan proudly participated as one of the delegates to the “Liga ng mga Barangay 2026 National Congress” held at the World Trade Center, Pasay City last May 27-28, 2026. The event gathered barangay officials from different parts of the country to strengthen leadership, governance, and public service.

A day before the activity, the Punong Barangays of Cantilan were also given the opportunity to meet and talk with Gov. Johnny T. Pimentel, Congressman Alexander Pimentel of the 2nd District of Surigao del Sur, and Congressman Romeo S. Momo Sr. of the 1st District. The meeting served as a valuable opportunity to discuss programs and concerns beneficial to their respective barangays and municipalities.

Good news to all San Pedrohanons! Earlier this morning, representatives from the DPWH conducted a site survey of the new Multi-Purpose Hall in preparation for the additional budget intended to complete the interior of the ground floor, as promised by Congressman Romeo S. Momo Sr. during the turnover ceremony last April 28, 2026.

Based on the assessment conducted by the DPWH representatives, an estimated amount of ₱4 million has been allocated to complete the ground floor interior of the said building.

The Barangay Council, led by Punong Barangay Armando Dodong Arizobal, extends its heartfelt gratitude to Congressman Momo and the DPWH for granting the request for additional funding to fully complete the building for the benefit of the community.

Jose Dumagan, Jr. for his generous personal donation of 20 plastic chairs, which he personally delivered to the barangay. This donation was made in response to the request of Punong Barangay Armando Dodong Arizobal to help support various barangay activities and community gatherings.
