The Municipal Convergence Advisory Committee (MCAC) convened for its 2nd Quarter Meeting at the Mayorโs Office, presided over by SB Member Hon. Uldarico D. Urquiza, to review updates, accomplishments, and ongoing activities of key Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) convergence programs in the municipality.
During the meeting, program focal persons presented updates on their respective programs, including the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) by Leslie G. Sumabal, PDO II; the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) by Kimberly M. Manulat, PDO II; and the KALAHI-CIDSS Program, covering PAMANA and Pag-Abot Program, by Manuel B. Golin, Jr., MTS. Updates were likewise presented on the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) by Arlene M. Ontua, RSW, MSSW, SWAD Team Leader, the implementation status of the Social Pension for Senior Citizens by Laura O. Barrera, SWO III, and the Supplemental Feeding Program by Reveh E. Comparativo, AA II. The Special Programs Division (SPD), through Glenn B. Lazaro, Private Sec. II/SPD Chief, also presented updates on its programs and accomplishments.
The meeting concluded with discussions on issues, concerns, and other relevant matters, reinforcing the collective commitment of the Local Government Unit and partner agencies to strengthen inter-agency collaboration, improve program implementation, and ensure the effective delivery of social welfare services to the people of Tagbina.
