Following the epic (🤣) balloon drop during the opening program of the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026, two civil engineers from the Local Government Unit of Socorro Engr. Ephraim Mondragon and Engr. Dante Dizon, together with their team from Engineering Office and PESO are working on preparations to ensure an even more impressive balloon drop for the closing program.

The said engineers are carefully assessing and improving the setup, focusing on safety, stability, and proper timing to deliver a memorable finale for the participating journalists and guests.

Men in uniform strengthened security and maintained a visible presence from Day 1 until the closing of the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026 in Socorro, ensuring the safety and security of delegates, journalists, and guests throughout the event. Led by MPS-OIC Chief of Police Larry Dolar, personnel remained strategically deployed in key areas and venues, providing assistance, maintaining peace and order, and helping ensure the smooth conduct of the week-long gathering.

Their continued presence have contributed to a safe and orderly DSPC 2026 as the municipality welcomed participants from various schools across the division.

Tonight, September 11, 2026, journalists from different schools across the Siargao Division, including delegates from San Isidro, Dapa, San Benito, Roxas, and other participating districts, gathered for a night of music, fun, and camaraderie in Socorro Municipal Kiosk.

The evening featured a lively performance by The Lonetown, giving the journalists a chance to unwind and celebrate their shared DSPC 2026 experience. The presentation was further highlighted by a surprise fireworks display, adding a spectacular touch to the final jam night as DSPC 2026 in Socorro comes to a close.
