SUCCESS, FRESH FROM THE PACIFIC 🌊⚓ | PH Navy Welcomes Home Personnel After Successful Participation in RIMPAC 2026
The Philippine Navy welcomed home Naval Task Group (NTG) 84 aboard BRP Miguel Malvar FFG6 - PF during an arrival ceremony at Naval Operating Base Subic, Zambales, on August 20, 2026, following its successful participation in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise 2026 in Hawaii, USA.
Vice Commander, Philippine Navy, Major General Edwin E Amadar PN(M), led the ceremony and commended the contingent for its dedication, professionalism, and outstanding performance throughout the multinational exercise.
A highlight of the deployment was BRP Miguel Malvar’s exemplary performance during the Naval Surface Fire Support Rodeo, competing alongside 14 other participating ships.
The contingent’s participation in maritime, amphibious, and special operations activities further strengthened the Philippine Navy’s operational readiness and interoperability with partner and allied forces.
