In line with the new thrust of the Philippine Population Management Program(PPMP)that geared towards "Matatag, Maginhawa, at Planadong Pamilyang Pilipino".The Commission on Population and Development will strengthen its partnership with the Local Government Units in the implementation of its three(3) strategic programs: Responsible Parenthood-Family Planning(RP-FP),Adolescent Health Development(AHD),and Population and Development Integration.
POPCOM emphasized the importance of a Memorandum of Understanding in order to intensify the partnership and ensure the commitment of the LGU in supporting the reduction of unmet need for modern family planning and the increasing incidence of teenage pregnancy.
