𝑳𝑶𝑶𝑲 | 𝙁𝙀𝘽𝙍𝙐𝘼𝙍𝙔 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Ground truthing activities were conducted by the Office of the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (OMPDC), together with MDRRMO, MSWDO, MEO, and OMAg, in Barangays Upper and Lower Maculan, Lake Sebu to validate data for the Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment (CDRA), water sources and sanitation inventory, barangay boundary concerns, and street naming.

The field activity aims to strengthen local planning, reduce disaster risks, and improve delivery of basic services through accurate, on-site data collection.

𝑰𝑵 𝑷𝑯𝑶𝑻𝑶𝑺 | Barangay Captains, Secretaries, and Kagawads from the 19 barangays of Lake Sebu participated in the 𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒄 𝑮𝒆𝒐-𝑻𝒂𝒈𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒂𝒑 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒑 conducted by LGU Lake Sebu through the Office of the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator on January 22–23, 2026 at B’Nowong Restaurant, Poblacion, Lake Sebu.

The workshop aimed to equip barangay councils with basic skills in geo-tagging and map reading for accurate planning, project monitoring, and data-driven decision-making. Participants were divided into two groups, with each group completing a one-day session.

𝑰𝑵 𝑷𝑯𝑶𝑻𝑶𝑺 | LGU Lake Sebu, through the Office of the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (OMPDC) conducted a two-day 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜-𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥 𝙤𝙣 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙋𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙮, 𝙋𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙟𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙢, 𝙚𝙉𝙚𝙬𝙨, 𝙁𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙒𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 O𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙒𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 on January 22–23, 2026 at B’Nowong Restaurant, Poblacion, Lake Sebu.

The activity gathered designated staff from various offices in preparation for the launch of the official eLGU website of LGU Lake Sebu, equipping participants with essential writing and basic photography skills to ensure accurate, timely, and quality online content from their respective offices.

Resource persons were 𝑴𝒔. 𝑾𝒊𝒍𝒎𝒂 𝑶. 𝑫𝒆 𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒐, Teacher III of Lake Sebu National High School and school paper adviser, and 𝑴𝒓. 𝑱𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒕 𝑪. 𝑬𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒐, Teacher III of San Miguel National High School, visual artist and award-winning photographer.

MUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (MDC) MEETING

JULY 9, 2024 || Idinaos ang pagpupulong ng Municipal Development Council sa Bob Nowong Restaurant, Poblacion, Lake Sebu. Pinangunahan ito ng ating mahal na Municipal Mayor, Hon. Remie M. Unggol, kasama ang Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator at MDC Head Secretariat na si Engr. Rex Salvador G. Espigar, EnP., RPABE, MTRM, at mga MPDO staff bilang mga miyembro ng MDC Secretariat.

📍Dumalo rin sa nasabing pagpupulong sina Mr. Jojet B. Tupas, MDMG, Municipal Budget Officer, Mr. Cyril Dongon, MPA, MENRO, Engr. Kevin John T. Malinog, Municipal Engineer, Municipal Nutritionist Ma. Guia Arroza, Public School District Supervisor Mr. John Arnel Suscano, PhD, Municipal IPS Vice Chair Datu Bernard Doy, mga Punong Barangay at mga kinatawan na pinangunahan ni ABC President Hon. Bernard Caat at mga CSOs.

📍Tinalakay sa pagpupulong ang mga updates sa mga development, presentasyon at pag-apruba ng mga proposed projects sa ilalim ng 20% Development Fund, at ang tentative schedule ng Barangay Development Plan Formulation Workshop para sa nalalabing 16 na barangays.

JULY 4, 2024 || Isinagawa ang workshop para sa pagbubuo ng Local Poverty Reduction Action Plan (LPRAP) na pinangunahan ng Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) sa koordinasyon ng National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) mula sa Office of the President, Local Affairs Coordinating and Monitoring Services (LACMS), sa pangunguna ng Division Chief, MS. Perigine M. Cayadong, kasama ang Provincial Planning and Development Office. Ang workshop ay ginanap sa Bob Nowong Restaurant, Poblacion, Lake Sebu.

Ang pokus ng aktibidad ay ang mga sumusunod:

📍Isang pangkalahatang-ideya ng mga alituntunin at template para sa pagbubuo ng LPRAP
📍Muling pagsusuri sa mga umiiral na plano at pagrepaso sa bisyon ng LGU
📍Paghahanda ng poverty profile, pagbuo ng mga layunin, patakaran, at interbensyon; at
📍Pagtukoy sa mga Anti-poverty Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs)

Ang mga sumunod na hakbang ay ang pagbibigay priyoridad sa mga na-shortlist na PPAs.

Ang mga dumalo ay ang iba't ibang mga opisina tulad ng Legislative Office, OMAg, MSWDO, HRMDO-PESO at MDRRMO, kasama ng mga Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) tulad ng LASVEGAS, LSNHS-MPC, Lake Sebu Transport Service Cooperative, KETUIPA, TUGID, OND-HESED, at COWHED.

📍DAY 2 || Annual Investment Plan (AIP) Preparation Orientation-Workshop

Ipinagmamalaki ng Municipal Planning and Development Office ng Bayan ng Lake Sebu, sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Hon. Mayor Remie M. Unggol, ang matagumpay na pagtatapos ng Orientation Workshop kahapon, July 2, 2024, para sa paghahanda ng Annual Investment Plan (AIP).
