Governance Exemplars for Meaningful Service for Sangguniang Kabataan - SK GEMS Rollout and Orientation gathered SK Chairpersons, SK Secretaries, SK Treasurers, the Municipal Evaluation Team (MET), LYDO, and DILG representatives in a shared commitment to strengthen youth governance, transparency, leadership, and effectiveness in public service.

This activity served as an avenue to equip and prepare our youth leaders for the upcoming evaluation and further enhance their capacities in delivering responsive and accountable governance for the youth.

A heartfelt thank you to DILG XII represented by Mr. Basil Jasper C. Magdato, Development Management Officer II, for generously sharing his knowledge, expertise, and valuable insights throughout the orientation.

The Provincial Office of Engineering, led by Lloyd M. Esparagosa, CE, conducted a coordination meeting with Municipal Mayor Hon. Antonio G. Fungan Jr. today, June 2, 2026, at the Mayorโ€™s Office regarding the recent landslide incident in Traankini, Barangay Lamlahak.

The meeting focused on assessment updates, coordination efforts, and possible interventions to address the affected area.

It also aimed to strengthen collaboration between the provincial and local government units in ensuring appropriate response actions.

Also in attendance was Chief of Staff Ptr. Charlie Fungan.

The Executive and Legislative bodies convened this afternoon, June 2, 2026, at the Municipal Treasurerโ€™s Office Conference Room to address the boundary concern between Bagumbayan and Lake Sebu, particularly in the areas of Daluga and Monte Verde.

The meeting was led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Antonio G. Fungan Jr., together with Vice Mayor Hon. Floro L. Gandam Jr.
Present were MLGOO Deomedina Magdato, SB Members Hon. Bernard Ca-at and Hon. Emilio Fado Jr., Municipal Administrator Rechie Tambucong, LPT, MENR Officer Cyril Dongon, Municipal Secretary Rene Landayong, Chief of Staff Ptr. Community members gathered today, June 2, 2026, at the IPS Tribal Office for a dialogue led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Antonio G. Fungan Jr.

The activity served as a venue to discuss long-standing concerns raised by the constituents, with the Municipal Mayor addressing the issues and providing appropriate actions and possible solutions.

Present during the dialogue were the NCIP Lake Sebu Service Center, led by CDO-III Shellalyn Abboy, together with Chief of Staff Ptr. Charlie Fungan and personnel from the Indigenous Peoples Structure (IPS) Office.

Beneficiaries from various barangays of Lake Sebu attended the orientation for the TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) Program held today, June 2, 2026, at Sitio Upper Talubek, Layag Bible Church, Barangay Lamlahak.

The activity was facilitated by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region XII and initiated through the Office of Congressman Dibu S. Tuan, with the Local Government Unit of Lake Sebu providing coordination and support for its implementation.

Municipal Mayor Hon. Antonio G. Fungan Jr. attended the activity and conveyed his message of support and encouragement to the beneficiaries. Also present was Chief of Staff Ptr. Charlie Fungan.

The orientation aimed to provide participants with essential information regarding the program, its implementation, and their roles and responsibilities as beneficiaries.

An Executive Committee (ExeCom) Meeting was conducted on June 1, 2026, led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Antonio G. Fungan, Jr. The meeting focused on updates from various offices, ongoing programs, and other operational matters concerning the Local Government Unit (LGU).

Present during the meeting were Department Heads, Section Heads, representatives from National Line Agencies, and LGU staff members.

The meeting served as a venue for coordination, information sharing, and the alignment of plans, programs, and activities to further strengthen collaboration among offices and ensure efficient and responsive public service delivery for the Municipality of Lake Sebu.
