President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed Congress to PRIORITIZE four landmark reform measures aimed at strengthening democracy, accountability, and transparency in government.
Here’s a quick rundown of the bills and their authors:
🔴 Anti-Dynasty Bill
Filed separately by Sen. Kiko Pangilinan (Senate Bill, July 2025) and by Akbayan Party-list (House Bill 5905, 20th Congress).
⏩ This seeks to finally enforce the constitutional ban on political dynasties.
🔴 Independent People’s Commission Bill
Versions filed by Mamamayang Liberal Party-list Rep. Leila de Lima (House Bill 4435) and by Senate President Tito Sotto with co-authors Risa Hontiveros & Erwin Tulfo (Senate Bill 1215).
⏩ Designed to create an independent body to investigate corruption and abuse of power.
🔴 Party-list System Reform Bill

🔴 CADENA Act (Citizens Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability)
