Meanwhile, the Tropical Storm "HAGUPIT" (formerly LPA 05b) is being monitored outside the PAR.
All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

LOOK | OJT Culmination Program of BSIT Interns

The Local Government Unit of Sogod, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), held a simple Culmination Program for the On-the-Job Training (OJT) interns from Sogod Southern Leyte State University taking up Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), major in Programming, on April 29, 2026, at 4:00 PM.

The said interns have completed their internship at the MDRRMO, where they were exposed to various technical and administrative tasks supporting the office’s operations. Throughout their training, they demonstrated competence in applying their academic knowledge to real-world scenarios, particularly in the field of information technology and public service.

The activity served as a meaningful way to acknowledge their efforts, learning, and growth throughout their training.
The SOGOD MDRRMO extends its appreciation to the interns and wishes them success in their future endeavors.

Pahimangno Batok sa Heat-Related Illness | LGU Sogod, Southern Leyte

Tungod sa padayon nga pagsaka sa kainit sa panahon, ang Lokal nga Pangagamhanan sa Sogod nagpahimangno sa tanang Sogodnon nga magbantay ug mag-amping batok sa mga sakit nga dala sa grabeng kainit, sama sa heat exhaustion ug heat stroke.

Gina-awhag ang tanan nga magpabiling hydrated pinaagi sa kanunay nga pag-inom og tubig, likayan ang dugay nga pagpabilin ilawom sa init sa adlaw, ug magsul-ob og komportable ug preskong bisti. Hatagi usab og dugang pag-atiman ang mga bata, tigulang, ug uban pang sensitibong sektor nga mas daling maapektuhan sa kainit.

Alang sa dugang giya, palihog tan-awa ang gilakip nga hulagway nga naglangkob sa mga paagi sa paglikay ug angay buhaton kung adunay heat-related nga kondisyon.
