Strengthening Discipline and Ensuring Safe PDL Visits
Sarangani Provincial Jail Warden PMAJ Marcelo A. Mendoza (Ret.)/OIC Chief PSG met with the Overall PDL Leader and cell leaders to reiterate the jail’s policies, rules, and security protocols governing visits from families and relatives of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

During the meeting, the Warden emphasized the importance of strictly observing the prescribed dress code, visitation guidelines, and security procedures, as well as the prohibition of bringing unauthorized items and contrabands inside the facility.
The PDL leaders were reminded to properly inform their fellow PDLs and their visitors to help ensure smooth, orderly, and secure visitation.

The corresponding penalties for violations were also discussed to reinforce accountability and compliance. Through continuous communication and cooperation among jail personnel, PDLs, and their families, the facility aims to maintain a safe, disciplined, and secure environment while upholding the rights and welfare of PDLs and their visitors.

🇵🇭 Sarangani Provincial Jail Holds First Monday Flag Raising Ceremony

The Sarangani Provincial Jail Under the leadership of Provincial Jail Warden PMAJ Marcelo A. Mendoza (Ret.)/OIC Chief PSG together with Assistant Warden J/SINSP Jimmy D. Manlangit (Ret.), and Administrative Officer PG III PEMS Andrew D. Dionio (Ret.) and personnel, successfully conducted its First Monday of the Month Flag Raising Ceremony as part of the facility’s commitment to discipline, professionalism, and public service.

During the ceremony, Administrative Officer PG III PEMS Andrew D. Dionio (Ret.) delivered important announcements and reminders, emphasizing the strict observance of duty details, adherence to established security protocols, and compliance with all administrative requirements and procedures, particularly proper attendance.

These reminders reinforce the importance of every personnel’s role in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-managed correctional facility.

🏆 RECOGNITION AND AWARDING CEREMONY

The activity also featured the awarding of the Cleanest Cell, with Selda 3 earning the highest rating of 93%, recognizing their efforts in maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and discipline within their living area. Cash prize and banner were given.

The winners of the Fiesta Celebration Tournaments were likewise recognized.

Meanwhile, Provincial Jail Warden PMAJ Marcelo A. Mendoza (Ret.) announced that the Sarangani Provincial Jail Anniversary Tournament, in celebration of the facility’s anniversary on November 9, will be organized under the leadership of Assistant Warden J/SINSP Jimmy D. Manlangit (Ret.).

In his message, Warden Mendoza reiterated the importance of knowing and faithfully performing one’s duties and responsibilities, stressing that discipline, vigilance, teamwork, and strict compliance with established policies are essential in ensuring the continued safety and security of the facility.

The ceremony served not only as an avenue for important announcements and reminders but also as an opportunity to recognize the achievements and positive contributions of both personnel and PDLs. It further strengthened SPJ’s commitment to discipline, accountability, teamwork, and meaningful rehabilitation.
