Project 5 A’s launched in Fagel-mentored districts

Project 5 A’s continues to achieve significant milestones as it expands across schools in the district led by Dr. Wilma V. Fagel.

Spearheaded by Dr. Joel B. Lopez, CESO IV, this groundbreaking initiative has been successfully rolled out in four pioneering institutions within3 districts namely Mabilbila Integrated School, Baggoc Elementary School, Bulag Elementary School, and Lingsat Elementary School.

The core of this project revolves around the transformative "5 A's" principles rooted in communal growth: Agadal (to study), Agtagibalay (to manage the home), Agmula (to plant), Agtaraken (to raise animals), and Aglilliwa (to find recreation and comfort). Through these pillars, the initiative aims to forge a powerful, unified alliance among schools, teachers, parents, and students alike, effectively bringing the overarching mission of the Department of Education straight into local communities.

Moving forward, Project 5 A’s is expected to serve as a vital catalyst in strengthening grassroots school initiatives, continuously driving the community toward a high-quality, deeply meaningful, and inclusive education for all.

The event featured special performances by teaching and non-teaching staff alongside selected students. Mrs. Marichu B. Criste gave the closing remarks, bringing the tribute to a warm close before group photo sessions were held with colleagues, students, and guests.

The program opened with a solemn prayer led by Ms. Donna Marie T. Ritua, followed by the Philippine National Anthem via audio-visual presentation. Mr. Joseph Rosario T. Burgos delivered the opening remarks, welcoming members of the faculty, staff, and guests.

A segment titled Tribute & Appreciation featured two dedicated tributes:

✨ "A Journey to Leadership" presented by Mrs. Rosalyn P. Tejada.
✨ "Memoirs / Moments / Milestones" highlighting key memories and achievements throughout Dr. Academia's tenure.

Faculty members Mrs. Michelle B. Palacpac, Mrs. Maribeth B. Bista, and Mrs. Marjorie C. Britos shared personal messages expressing gratitude for Dr. Academia’s guidance and camaraderie. School Principal II Mrs. Juliet C. Aquino also delivered a dedicated message acknowledging Dr. Academia’s leadership.

Following the presentation of a token and certificate of appreciation, Dr. Joan R. Academia delivered an emotional response, expressing her appreciation to the MIS community.

𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗔, 𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗢𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗥 — Marking a milestone in educational leadership, Mabilbila Integrated School (MIS) held an Appreciation and Send-Off Program on Thursday, October 15, at 2:00 PM at the MIS Function Hall to honor Dr. Joan R. Academia following her promotion to Principal I.

The theme of the event, "From Leading a Department to Leading a School," reflected Dr. Academia’s journey and service as former Head Teacher. Colleagues, students, and school administrators gathered to celebrate her contributions and extend their best wishes as she assumes her new leadership position.

MIS conducts Synchronized Handwashing Activity for Global Handwashing Day 2026

Mabilbila Integrated School held a synchronized handwashing activity on October 15, before recess time as part of the 2026 Global Handwashing Day celebration, promoting proper hygiene practices among learners and supporting the Department of Education’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Schools (WinS) Program.

Anchored on the theme “Be a Handwashing Hero,” the observance highlighted the importance of washing hands with soap and clean water to prevent the spread of germs, reduce the risk of illnesses, and maintain a clean and healthy school environment.

During the activity, the learners were reminded to practice proper handwashing, especially before eating, after using the toilet, and after playing. By observing these simple yet essential hygiene practices, learners can help protect themselves and others from preventable diseases.

Through this annual celebration, Mabilbila Integrated School reinforces its commitment to promoting cleanliness, personal responsibility, and healthy habits among learners. The activity also emphasizes that proper handwashing is a simple but effective way to protect health, prevent illnesses, and save lives.

Nakikiisa ang Mabilbila Integrated School sa Kagawaran ng Edukasyon sa pagdiriwang ng National School Safety Week sa Oktubre 12–16, 2026, alinsunod sa Memorandum na may petsang Oktubre 9, 2026.
Layunin ng isang linggong pagdiriwang na ito na palakasin ang mga mekanismo para sa kaligtasan sa paaralan, pataasin ang kamalayan tungkol sa mga alituntunin at protokol sa kaligtasan, pangalagaan ang mga karapatan ng mga mag-aaral, at hikayatin ang aktibong pakikilahok ng lahat ng kinauukulan sa pagpapanatili ng isang ligtas, inklusibo, mapagkalinga, at angkop na kapaligiran para sa pagkatuto ng lahat ng mag-aaral.
Magsisimula ang pagdiriwang sa pamamagitan ng sabayang seremonya ng pagtataas ng watawat sa Lunes, Oktubre 12, 2026. Bibigyang-diin nito ang pinagsasaluhang pananagutan ng paaralan at ng mga katuwang nito sa pagtiyak ng kaligtasan at kapakanan ng bawat mag-aaral.
Nananatiling matatag ang paninindigan ng Mabilbila Integrated School sa pagtataguyod ng isang ligtas, malinis, inklusibo, at angkop na kapaligiran sa pagkatuto kung saan ang bawat mag-aaral ay may pagkakataong matuto, umunlad, at magtagumpay.

MIS PTA honors School Personnel with Teachers’ Day celebration

The Parents-Teachers Association of Mabilbila Integrated School, led by Mr. Maximo Borje, Jr., a retired professor of the University of Northern Philippines, surprised the school’s teaching and non-teaching personnel with a heartfelt Teachers’ Day celebration to honor their dedication and invaluable contributions to education.

The celebration featured exciting games with prizes, thoughtful tokens, and delicious food, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with laughter, appreciation, and camaraderie. Each activity and gesture reflected the PTA’s sincere gratitude for the commitment and sacrifices of the school personnel in nurturing learners and supporting their growth and development.

Beyond the fun and festivities, the surprise celebration highlighted the strong partnership between parents and the school in fulfilling their shared responsibility of providing quality education. It also reminded teachers and school personnel that their efforts are valued and that they are supported by a community that recognizes the importance of their service.

“Your presence, support, and thoughtful efforts remind us that we are never alone in this mission of educating our learners. Thank you for making our teachers and school personnel feel valued and appreciated.”

Mis offers Holy Mass for Teachers’ Day, honors our Lady of the Rosary

Mabilbila Integrated School held a Holy Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Gerry Somera on October 7 at the school's cover court to honor Mary, Our Mother, and give thanks to God as part of the National Teachers’ Day celebration, bringing together teaching and non-teaching personnel in prayer and thanksgiving.

The Eucharistic celebration coincided with the observance of the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, reminding the school community of the importance of praying the Holy Rosary with faith, hope, and love. Through the celebration, the learners and personnel were encouraged to deepen their devotion to Mary and strengthen their faith in God amid the challenges and responsibilities of their profession.

At the conclusion of the Mass, Fr. Somera offered a special prayer for all teachers, asking for God’s guidance, strength, wisdom, and blessings as they continue their mission of educating learners and shaping their future.

From 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟔 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the school is conducting a series of 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 designed to encourage learners to express their feelings in safe and constructive ways, strengthen their awareness of mental health and available support systems, and promote a caring and supportive school community.
