Matibag is the duly-elected Representative of the 1st District of Laguna. Matibag received her Juris Doctor degree at the San Beda College Alabang. As a Former Board Member of Laguna from 2019 to 2022, she was the External Vice President of the Lady Local Legislators League of the Philippines, a member of the Board of Directors of the National Movement of Young Legislators, and Public Relations Officer for the Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines. She also founded the LaguNanays, ang SamahANN ng MaaasahANN na KababaihANN, an advocacy group for mothers in the Province of Laguna, and has conducted feeding programs for the benefit of LaguNanays and their children. Matibag has had a long history of service prior to serving as an elected official as head of corporate services and as chief of staff in the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation (PEMC) from 2017 to 2020. Her track record of public service also includes community engagements, as current Vice President of the Zonta Club of Laguna from 2022-2024, Zone Chairperson of the Lions International Club Region 4 Zone from 2021 to 2022, and as Former Director for International Affairs of JCI Asinderas in 2017. She is a staunch advocate for breastfeeding and maternal child care, and is a proud LaguNanay to her children Manuel, Mariana, and Maria Audriana, and loving wife to her husband, Cabinet Secretary Atty.
