The Philippine National Police – Women and Children Protection Center actively participated and collaborated with the Police Community Affairs and Development Group in producing an episode of “Straight from Team PNP” of PNP TV, focusing on Child Online Safety and Protection.

The episode highlighted the importance of responsible parenting and guardianship in the digital age, as well as practical ways to protect children from online abuse, exploitation, grooming, and other digital threats.

Sharing her expertise and valuable insights was PLTCOL AYN E. NATUEL, Assistant Chief, Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division , WCPC and Team Leader of PICACC, who emphasized the need for stronger awareness, vigilance, and collective action in protecting children in the online environment.

Through this meaningful collaboration, the PNP-WCPC continues to work hand-in-hand with PNP units and community partners in promoting awareness, strengthening child protection mechanisms, and creating safer spaces for every child—both offline and online. 💙

The PNP Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC), in partnership with Marinduque Police Provincial Office (PPO), successfully conducted the Regionalized Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) Summit.

The summit strengthened the capacity of WCPD personnel through enhanced operational knowledge, collaboration, and the exchange of best practices in delivering responsive and child-sensitive police services.

PNP-WCPC and Marinduque PPO remain committed to empowering WCPDs and building a stronger protection network for women and children in the province.

We are honored to have Ms. Analyn R. Favila, Social Welfare Officer, JJWC National Secretariat, as our guest lecturer.

This webinar aims to strengthen the knowledge, understanding, and practical competencies of WCPD personnel in handling CAR and CICL cases with sensitivity, compassion, respect, and full protection of their rights and dignity.

As police officers entrusted with the protection of women and children, our approach matters. Every interaction with a child is an opportunity to protect, guide, and help ensure that no child is left behind.

Let us continue to strengthen our commitment to a child-sensitive, rights-based, and protective approach in the performance of our duties.

The activity strengthened WCPD capabilities through enhanced coordination, sharing of best practices, and improved victim-centered services for women and children.

Through this initiative, PNP-WCPC and PRO 4A reaffirm their commitment to stronger frontline protection and safer communities across CALABARZON.

The PNP Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC) brought the spirit of “Aleng Pulis” closer to the community through an outreach program for the residents of Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City, in partnership with the Police Community Affairs and Development Course (PCADC) Class 02-051-DIDM-2026-011 and Batasan Police Station.

The activity featured information and awareness initiatives promoting the safety, protection, and well-being of women, children, and families, while strengthening trust and partnership between the police and the community.

Food packs and basic relief assistance were likewise distributed to residents affected by fire incidents and the recent typhoon, providing much-needed support during challenging times.

Through “Aleng Pulis,” the WCPC continues to bring police service closer to the people—not only through protection and enforcement, but also through education, compassion, and genuine community service.

PNP STATEMENT ON REPORTED INCIDENT AT A PRIVATE SCHOOL IN ZAMBOANGA

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the Police Regional Office 9 and the Zamboanga City Police Office, promptly responded to the recently reported shooting incident inside a private school in Zamboanga City.

Police personnel immediately coordinated with school authorities and other concerned agencies to ensure the safety and orderly movement of students, faculty, and school personnel. The situation is now under control.

The PNP likewise encourages parents and guardians to remain calm and follow the school's advisory, particularly on the designated time and arrangements for picking up their children. This will help ensure an orderly process and allow responding personnel to carry out their responsibilities without unnecessary congestion.

Authorities are currently establishing the circumstances surrounding the incident. The PNP will provide verified information as appropriate and appeals to the public to refrain from sharing unconfirmed reports, photos, or videos that may cause unnecessary concern.

The PNP assures the public that the safety and well-being of the school community remain a priority. We thank the school administration, parents, guardians, and the community for their patience, cooperation, and understanding as authorities continue to manage the situation.

We urge everyone to remain calm and rely on official advisories for accurate and timely information.

The PNP Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC), in partnership with Police Regional Office BAR , successfully conducted the Regionalized Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) Summit, gathering Chiefs of Police and WCPD personnel from across the region.

The activity reinforced the vital role of WCPDs in providing responsive, victim-centered, and effective police services through strengthened coordination, enhanced operational competencies, and the sharing of best practices in addressing cases involving women and children.

Through this initiative, the PNP-WCPC and PRO BAR continue to build a stronger network of committed protectors working together toward safer communities for every woman and child.

The PNP Women and Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC), in partnership with the Consuelo Foundation, conducted the Mindanao Cluster Test-Run Workshop on the PNP Manual on the Handling of Children in Situations of Armed Conflict (CSAC).

The activity gathered WCPC and Women and Children Protection Desk personnel to review and strengthen the Manual toward more child-sensitive, rights-based, and coordinated interventions for children affected by armed conflict.

The PNP Women and Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC), in partnership with the Consuelo Foundation, successfully conducted the Visayas Cluster Test-Run Workshop on the PNP Manual on the Handling of Children in Situations of Armed Conflict (CSAC) on July 30–31, 2026, in Negros Occidental.

The workshop brought together WCPC and Women and Children Protection Desk personnel from the Visayas Cluster to assess, validate, and enhance the Manual, ensuring more effective, coordinated, child-sensitive, and rights-based interventions for children affected by armed conflict.

Through sustained collaboration and capacity-building, the PNP-WCPC remains steadfast in strengthening the protection of every child, especially those in vulnerable and conflict-affected situations.
