The Municipality of San Jorge joins the nationwide observance of Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) 2026, reaffirming its commitment to promoting maritime awareness and the responsible protection of our seas, coastal resources, and maritime heritage.

The Local Government Unit of San Jorge successfully underwent the 2026 Regional Local Governance Champion (RLGC) Assessment, reflecting the municipality’s continuing commitment to responsive, inclusive, and effective local governance.

LGU San Jorge obtained compliance in six (6) out of the ten (10) governance areas, namely:

✅ Social Protection and Sensitivity
🌱 Environmental Management
❤️ Health Compliance and Responsiveness
🛡️ Disaster Preparedness
📚 Sustainable Education
👮 Safety, Peace and Order

The assessment provides an opportunity for the municipality to showcase its accomplishments, strengthen existing programs, and continuously improve the delivery of services to the people of San Jorge.

This milestone is made possible through the collective efforts of the municipal government, department heads, employees, partners, and stakeholders, under the leadership of Mayor Leoncio U. De Guia and Vice Mayor Jay Bisnar.

A meaningful milestone for the youth of San Jorge! The municipality successfully celebrated its first-ever Linggo ng Kabataan on August 29, 2026, bringing together young people in a celebration of leadership, participation, teamwork, and service.

3rd Quarter Social Pension Payout Underway

The Local Government Unit of San Jorge, through the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), is currently conducting the 3rd Quarter Social Pension Payout for our senior citizen beneficiaries.

The activity is part of the LGU’s continuing efforts to ensure that assistance reaches our elderly constituents and supports their daily needs and welfare.

We also welcome Ms. Leonila G. Abasolo, the newly designated OSCA Head, as she takes on the responsibility of leading and assisting in programs and services for our senior citizens.

The LGU San Jorge, under the leadership of Mayor Hon. Leoncio U. De Guia, continues to support initiatives that promote the welfare and well-being of our senior citizens.

SAN JORGE MOVES FORWARD: CDP SECTORAL WORKSHOP AND CONSULTATION FOR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC SECTORS

Planning for the future of San Jorge continues as the Local Government Unit of San Jorge conducted the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) Sectoral Workshop and Consultation for the Social and Economic Sectors.

The activity brought together representatives from the municipality’s social and economic sectors, national government agencies, civil society organizations (CSOs), and other stakeholders to present, discuss, and validate the outputs of each subsector.

During the workshop, the different subsectors presented their identified Local Development Investment Indicators (LDIs) and proposed Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) laying out priority interventions that respond to the municipality’s present needs while supporting its long-term development goals.

More than just a planning activity, the consultation provided a venue for different sectors and stakeholders to share their insights, recommendations, and experiences, ensuring that the municipality’s development plans are participatory, inclusive, and grounded on the actual needs of the community.

With the continued support of Mayor Hon. Leoncio U. De Guia, Vice Mayor Hon. Jay Bisnar, the Sangguniang Bayan, and other elected officials, together with the municipal offices and partner agencies and organizations, San Jorge continues to strengthen its collective efforts toward meaningful and sustainable local development.
