There is nothing more inspiring than seeing our young people choose to learn, serve, and prepare for the challenges of tomorrow. As we officially opened the 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐑𝐑𝐌 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 2026, I was reminded that a resilient future begins with an empowered generation. As Chairperson of the Committee on Disaster Risk Reduction, I remain committed to supporting initiatives that equip our youth with the knowledge, skills, and values to become leaders in times of crisis.

This meaningful initiative was spearheaded by the 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡, 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧t, under the leadership of 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐥 𝐇. 𝐏𝐚𝐣𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐚, whose continued dedication to youth development and disaster resilience has made programs like this possible. Together, their presence reflects our shared commitment to empowering the youth and building a safer, more resilient City of San Fernando.

To all our participants, thank you for accepting the challenge. Over the next three days, may this camp inspire you to become advocates of disaster preparedness, community service, and leadership. Together, let us continue building a City of San Fernando where resilience is a way of life and our youth lead the way toward a stronger and safer future.

𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐆𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐭𝐚𝐤 2026 ✍️♥️

On June 26, 2026, I have the privilege of serving as one of the judges for the Final Judging of 𝑮𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒅 𝑨𝒍𝒊𝒃𝒕𝒂𝒌 2026. It is both an honor and a responsibility to witness the dedication, innovation, and unwavering commitment of our barangays in strengthening Disaster Risk Reduction and Management.

As we visit our finalist barangays-𝑺𝒂𝒄𝒚𝒖𝒅, 𝑪𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒏, 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒐, 𝑳𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔𝒂𝒕, 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒏, 𝑪𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒐𝒂𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒂𝒏 𝑨𝒈𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏, I am reminded that resilience cannot simply be measured by scores. It is reflected in every preparedness plan crafted, every volunteer trained, every family informed, and every effort made to ensure that no life is left unprotected.

To our finalists, congratulations on reaching this stage. Your hard work deserves to be recognized, and your commitment serves as an inspiration to others.

To the barangays that did not make it to the finals this year, do not be discouraged. This competition is not the end of your journey—it is an opportunity to learn, grow, and come back even stronger. Every step you take toward creating a safer and more prepared community is already a victory. The greatest reward in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management is not a plaque or a title, but the lives protected through your dedication and service.

Together, let us continue building barangays that are prepared in times of uncertainty, united in times of adversity, and resilient for generations to come.

🏳️‍🌈 𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚. 𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆. 𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝑺𝒂𝒏 𝑭𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒐.

Nakikiisa tayo sa pagdiriwang ng Pride Month 2026 sa Lungsod ng San Fernando, isang makulay at makabuluhang celebrasyon na nagtataguyod ng pagmamahal, pagkakapantay-pantay, paggalang, at inklusyon para sa lahat.

Naging tampok sa pagdiriwang ang Pride Unity Walk, mga mensaheng nagbibigay-inspirasyon mula sa ating mga pinuno at mga katuwang ng komunidad, at ang opisyal na pagbubukas ng Rainbow Spike Volleyball Cup. Sinundan ito ng Panunumpa ng Sportsmanship, mga pagtatanghal ng bawat koponan, pagpapakilala sa mga game officials, ceremonial ball toasting, at pormal na pagsisimula ng mga laro bilang simbolo ng pagkakaisa at pagkakaibigan.

Sa pamamagitan ng mga gawaing ito, patuloy nating pinagtitibay ang isang San Fernando na tumatanggap, gumagalang, at nagbibigay ng pantay na oportunidad sa bawat isa. Sapagkat sa ating pagkakaiba, mas lalo tayong nagiging buo bilang isang komunidad.🌈🦄

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | During the Re-launching of the La Union Trade Center and the Inauguration of the CREATE Your San Fernando eLyU UNSDG Innovation Center, City Councilor Joseph Clarence DG. Valero delivered a message highlighting the importance of inclusive development by creating opportunities in all sectors of society.

He stressed that the true progress is not meassured by achievemnets alone, but by opportunities it creates for people. By supporting entrepreneurs, empowering innovators, uplifting workers, and strengthening families, the city continues to pave the way for a future where development benifits everyone. Through this shared vision, City of San Fernando moves forward as a community driven by innovation, opportunity, and inclusive prosperity.

Today, I had the honor of joining the inauguration of the SGLG Incentive Fund Projects at the La Union Trade Center, a testament to the City Government of San Fernando’s unwavering commitment to good governance, innovation, and sustainable development. This milestone reflects how strategic investments and collaborative efforts can create lasting benefits for our community.

The inauguration showcased transformative projects designed to strengthen public services, enhance local infrastructure, and promote inclusive growth. More than just the opening of facilities, the event symbolized San Fernando’s continued journey toward becoming a resilient, progressive, and future-ready city. It also highlighted the collective efforts of national agencies, local government officials, and community stakeholders in turning development plans into meaningful outcomes for the people.

Following the inauguration, we proceeded to Barangay Biday Bridge for a site visitation and project update on the City’s Early Warning System (EWS). The visit provided valuable insights into the ongoing efforts to enhance disaster preparedness and strengthen community resilience. Through the implementation of modern warning and monitoring systems, San Fernando continues to prioritize the safety and well-being of its people, especially during times of natural hazards and emergencies.

As we move forward, these projects serve as a reminder that progress is built through vision, partnership, and action. Together, we are shaping a safer, smarter, and more resilient San Fernando for generations to come.
