Pagpupugay at pasasalamat sa lahat ng bayani at dakilang g**o—mga tagapagturo, tagapagmulat, at tagapagpanday ng kinabukasan ng ating kabataan.

Sa bawat aral na inyong ibinabahagi, pangarap na inyong pinasisigla, at hamon na inyong hinaharap, patuloy ninyong hinuhubog ang isang henerasyong may kaalaman, tapang, malasakit, at pag-asa.

Hindi lamang kayo nagtuturo ng mga leksyon sa loob ng silid-aralan—kayo ay humuhubog ng buhay at kinabukasan ng bayan.

This celebration is 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧—𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬. This is our initiative. This is our celebration. 𝐓𝐚𝐲𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧.

As a Union, we celebrate not merely to honor the teaching profession, but to 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀.

Teachers continue to face 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱, 𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀. These longstanding problems continue to burden teachers and affect the quality of education.

We recognize the reforms being undertaken by the Department of Education. But 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱. Teachers need more than pronouncements and programs. They need meaningful improvements in compensation, workload, working conditions, infrastructure, and safety.

𝗔 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱.

This occasion is also a tribute to the teachers and leaders who came before us—those who fought for teachers’ rights, organized their fellow educators, and worked for the realization of a genuine Union.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

We must 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁, 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗱, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏. 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐅𝐅. 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒.

𝐓𝐀𝐘𝐎 𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐍𝐘𝐎𝐍.

No single school is the Union. No single division is the Union. No individual leader is the Union.

The 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗖𝗟 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 21 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻. Our strength lies in rising above narrow and parochial interests and recognizing that the concerns of teachers in one school, division, or province are connected to the concerns of teachers throughout the region.

𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗮𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘁. 𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘁.

On this day, we also call on the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 to recognize and engage Central Luzon teachers as an 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿.

For every major policy, program, reform, and decision affecting teachers, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿—because reforms become meaningful only when they are grounded in teachers' actual experiences and aspirations.

No more concrete test of this recognition than the 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗖𝗡𝗔), 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗡𝗔 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲.

𝗔 𝗖𝗡𝗔 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱. 𝗜𝘁 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱.

On this World Teachers’ Day, we honor those who fought before us by continuing the work they began. 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗼𝘆 𝘀𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗯𝘂𝗯𝘂𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻.
