LOOK | PNP-EOD/K9 Group Personnel Pass Random Drug Testing with Zero Positive Results

In line with the Memorandum from The Directorate for Intelligence (TDI) dated January 8, 2026, regarding the Reiteration on the Conduct of Random/Targeted Drug Testing, and pursuant to the Philippine National Police continuing commitment to upholding discipline, integrity, and professionalism, the PNP-EOD/K9 Group successfully conducted random drug testing among personnel across all Field Units.

This activity is part of the organization’s intensified internal cleansing program and unwavering campaign against illegal drugs, ensuring that every member of the unit remains physically fit, mentally alert, and morally upright in the performance of their duties.

The results revealed that all personnel who underwent the examination tested negative for illegal substance use, with zero positive results recorded. This outcome reflects the strong commitment, discipline, and professionalism of the men and women of the PNP-EOD/K9 Group.

This accomplishment underscores the Group’s dedication to maintaining a drug-free organization and preserving the trust and confidence of the public it faithfully serves. Moving forward, the PNP-EOD/K9 Group remains steadfast in promoting accountability, operational readiness, and excellence in public service.

UNATTENDED BAGGAGE CLEARED AT NAIA TERMINAL 3

In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Enhanced-Managing Police Operations, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, personnel of the Aviation Security EOD and Canine Unit (AVSECU) NAIA EIRT, successfully neutralized a potential security concern involving an unattended baggage at the Arrival Bay 5, NAIA Terminal 3, Pasay City.

The cleared item was turned over to the Lost and Found Section, New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) Terminal 3 following a formal inventory.

This successful intervention underscores our strengthened operational readiness and commitment to a secure environment for every traveler.

SECURING PUBLIC TRANSPORT THROUGH PANELING OPERATIONS FOR LIGTAS SUMVAC 2026

In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Enhanced-Managing Police Operations, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, the personnel of South Cotabato Provincial EOD and Canine Unit (PECU), conducted paneling operations at the Public Terminal, Brgy Poblacion, Polomolok, South Cotabato.

These intensified measures serve to deter any form of unlawful interference, ensuring the safety of the general public. By maintaining a high-visibility presence at key locations and strategic hubs, the Group guarantees the continuity of public activities and provides a secure, peaceful environment for the community.

PNP-EOD/K9 PERSONNEL RUSH TO AID WOMAN WHO COLLAPSED AT ILAGAN PUBLIC MARKET

Under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, personnel of RECU2 – Isabela PECU once again demonstrated that the true mission of every police officer extends beyond law enforcement and public safety, it also includes compassion, humanity, and selfless service.

On May 16, 2026, while conducting a "Shock and Awe" Operation and routine visitation of business establishments at the New Public Market in Brgy. Baligatan, City of Ilagan, Isabela, personnel led by PCPT MERLY ROSE P SANCHEZ, EOD Technician and Team Leader, together with PCMS Christian A Buraga, K9 Handler, and PSSg Eugene R Bautista, EOD Technician, responded immediately to an urgent call for assistance after a woman suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness inside a nearby parlor.

Without hesitation, the team rushed to the scene and promptly secured the area to ensure public safety. They assessed the victim’s condition, discovered that she had sustained a contusion on her forehead due to the fall, and provided immediate first-aid assistance while maintaining close observation of her vital condition. Simultaneously, the team coordinated with local emergency responders for medical support.

Upon the arrival of the rescue team, the patient was safely turned over to responding medical personnel, who stabilized her and transported her to the Isabela Provincial Hospital for further treatment and evaluation.

The swift, decisive, and compassionate actions of the Isabela PECU personnel exemplify the highest ideals of the Philippine National Police. By going beyond their primary operational duties to preserve and protect human life, they demonstrated exceptional readiness, professionalism, and genuine concern for the welfare of the community.

This act of kindness and dedication reflects the unwavering commitment of the PNP-EOD/K9 Group to serve and protect with integrity, courage, and compassion strengthening public trust and further elevating the image of the organization as a dependable partner in community service.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: SAFE TURN-OVER AND CUSTODY OF EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE

In line with the PNP Focus Agenda, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, personnel of Regional EOD and Canine Unit 6 - PECU Aklan, successfully conducted an explosive ordnance technical assistance operation.

PMSg Frenz Kirby Baccaro, personnel of Batan MPS, arrived at the PECU Aklan Office to personally request assistance for the turn-over of an explosive ordnance. PMSg Lagasca conducted a thorough hazard assessment and examination of the item, subsequently executing a Render Safe Procedure (RSP) by inserting a secondary pin and securing the fuze assembly and body with electrical tape.

The ordnance was positively identified as one (1) round of an M67 Hand Fragmentation Gr***de. The recovered explosive ordnance is currently secured under the custody of this unit for safekeeping pending disposal operations.

PNP-EOD/K9 GROUP SECURES PMA GRADUATION; CLEARS VENUE FOR PRESIDENTIAL VISIT

In line with the PNP Focus Agenda, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, personnel from CECU Baguio led by PCPT MICHAEL M BINWAG, OIC, conducted a strategic paneling operation, inspection, and K9 sniffing at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), Fort Del Pilar, Kias, Baguio City.

PCPT BINWAG, along with CECU Baguio, executed the sweep in strict compliance with BCPO Security Plan 37-2026. The intensified security measure was designed to ensure the utmost safety of His Excellency Ferdinand Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines, high-ranking government dignitaries, and the families of the graduating cadets attending the PMA "TALANG DANGAL" Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony by clearing the area of potential explosive threats or improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Following a thorough inspection, the area was declared safe and officially turned over to PCpl Peter Himoldang with no untoward incidents reported.
