Empowering ALS Educators for Quality Learning
The successful conduct of the Division Quarterly Rolling Conference and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with Alternative Learning System (ALS) Teachers marked a significant milestone in strengthening ALS implementation at the end of Term 1, held on September 2, 2026, at the SDO Conference Hall, Samal District, Island Garden City of Samal.
The activity was attended by Ma'am Mary Ann O. Eliseo, Education Program Supervisor; Sir Jeric C. Longhas, Education Program Specialist and Division ALS Focal Person; Dr. Teresita E. Helgason, Education Program Supervisor and Learning Resources (LR) Manager; and Dr. Filomena M. Lopez, Education Program Supervisor and IPEd Focal Person. Through their expertise, guidance, and valuable insights, they provided recommendations and technical inputs aimed at further improving the implementation and delivery of the ALS Program.
The conference and FGD served as a venue for meaningful reflection, collaboration, and professional dialogue among ALS teachers, promoting the exchange of best practices and innovative strategies to address challenges and enhance learning outcomes. It reinforced the commitment of educators and education leaders to continuously improve the quality of ALS services and ensure that learners receive inclusive, accessible, and transformative educational opportunities.
This initiative highlights the Division's steadfast commitment to further enhancing and enriching educational programs, promoting excellence in teaching and learning, and ensuring the delivery of quality education for all.
