This yearโ€™s regional outreach, led by the ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐…๐ž๐๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐’๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž ๐‹๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ง๐ž๐ซ ๐†๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ (๐‘๐…๐’๐‹๐†) together with the Youth Formation Program, once again demonstrated the true spirit of compassion. Through the Piso Para Kay Manay initiative, Region XI rallied to support the communities in Manay, Davao Oriental affected by the recent earthquake.

Showing its full solidarity, the Division of Island Garden City of Samal contributed a total of โ‚ฑ6,890, with heartfelt support from each district:
โ€ข Talicud District โ€“ โ‚ฑ1,760
โ€ข Kaputian District โ€“ โ‚ฑ704
โ€ข Samal District โ€“ โ‚ฑ2,231
โ€ข Babak District โ€“ โ‚ฑ2,195

These combined contributions helped reach more than 200 learners from Manay North and Manay South, who received school supplies, food packs, rice, and cash assistance. Their teachers also received much-needed educational materials to support continued learning.

The outreach activity was held on December 5, 2025, at Gregorio Moralizon Elementary School I, Brgy. Central, Manay, Davao Oriental.

Thanks to the generosity of Dabawenyos, the dedication of RFSSLG, and the unity of all divisions, this initiative brought hope, joy, and a meaningful Paskong Kay Saya to the children of Manay.

Lemuel T. Reyes. This event marks the official induction of young leaders who will serve as the unified voice of learners across the cityโ€™s elementary and secondary schools. Anchored on DepEd Order No. 47, s. 2014, the establishment of the SELG and SSLG underscores the Department of Educationโ€™s enduring commitment to nurturing leadership, active participation, and responsible citizenship among learners.

The newly sworn-in officers pledge to collaborate closely with the Schools Division Office and local government to implement initiatives that foster holistic development, promote mental health awareness, advance environmental stewardship, encourage gender equality, and protect the rights of all learners. As they embark on this journey of service, these young leaders exemplify the values of dedication, integrity, and advocacy for the welfare of their fellow students, ensuring that the voices of the youth continue to shape a better and more inclusive future.
