On this day, we honor the Feast of St. Florian, the patron saint of firefighters.

A Roman military officer martyred in 304 AD, St. Florian is remembered for his legendary bravery in organizing fire brigades and saving a village from a massive blaze. His legacy of sacrifice and protection remains the heart of our mission today.

To our modern-day heroes in the BFP, thank you for your courage and commitment to keeping our communities safe.

BFP Scholarship Program: Honoring Sacrifice, Empowering Futures

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region 8 under the steadfast leadership of Regional Director FCSUPT ALDWIN M SALAZAR, DSC, proudly announces the continuation of its Scholarship Program, implemented in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

This program stands as a heartfelt tribute to the bravery and selfless service of our firefighters. It provides educational support to:
•The surviving children of our fallen heroes,
• Immediate family members and qualified dependents of firefighters who have become totally and permanently disabled in the line of duty

Through this initiative, scholars will receive financial assistance covering tuition and miscellaneous expenses - helping them pursue academic excellence and secure brighter futures.
