On behalf of our delegation, we would like to express our deepest thanks to the Local Government Unit of Sadanga for their steadfast support during the Division Press Conference 2026, held at Serapio Gawan National High School last February 11-13.

This was made possible by the incredible leadership of Mayor Robert Wanawan, Vice Mayor Ackut, the members of the Sangguniang Bayan Hon. James Fidchongkas (SB Education Chairman) Hon. Daniel Dawadeo, Hon. Alonzo Fattit and the dedicated personnel of PNP-Sadanga. Not only did they ensure our protection, but they also personally took the wheel, drove our delegation to the venue and also helped us prepare and cook meals for the participants.

In addition, we also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the SK-Betwagan for his unwavering and consistent support of our school activities. His active involvement and encouragement continue to empower our learners and contribute significantly to the success of our endeavors.

Seeing our local leaders and law enforcement directly ensuring our safe travel and staying by our side throughout the event truly embodies the spirit of service. This experience was more successful because we knew we were in good hands.

We may have won a few awards but the experience and the kindness of our leaders are the greatest trophies of all.

Matakho-takho tako am-in!

BSP Holy Mass and Investiture Ceremony
January 30, 2026 | Betwagan National High School
Theme: Empowering Servant Leaders

Betwagan National High School successfully conducted the BSP Holy Mass and Investiture Ceremony on January 30, 2026, anchored on the theme “Empowering Servant Leaders.” The activity gathered scouts, school personnel, learners and community partners in a solemn and meaningful celebration of faith, unity, and leadership.

The program was facilitated by Ms. Marissa L. Lan-eo, who served as the Master of Ceremony and guided the flow of the celebration with grace and order.

The program opened with a Holy Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Marcial Lloyd Castañeda. In his homily, Fr. Castañeda emphasized the importance of unity and reminded everyone that peace is the highest form of human development. His message highlighted the role of young scouts in building harmonious communities grounded in shared values and mutual respect.

Immediately after the Mass, the investiture ceremony commenced with a short prayer led by Ma’am Naty Wanawan. The entrance of colors by the PNP-Sadanga Municipal Police Station added dignity to the occasion, followed by the welcome and opening message of the school head, Sir Jun Jun L. Mek-eng.

During the investiture proper, the scouts solemnly lit their candles and recited the Scout Oath and Law, signifying their commitment to the principles of Scouting. They were formally invested by the school head, followed by the donning of the neckerchief and carabao slide, the acceptance of their membership IDs, and the singing of the BSP song “On My Honor.” These symbolic rites marked their official entry into the Scouting movement.

Sir Jun P. Ngawit, Chief of Police, graciously stepped in as the resource speaker. His message centered on the values aligned with the theme: discipline, integrity through thoughtful analysis, trust for the common good, firmness in achieving goals, and the courage to be the first to lead. His words inspired the scouts to embody servant leadership in their daily lives.

The ceremony concluded with a closing message from the barangay representative, the singing of the Mountain Province Hymn led by Ma’am Janet A. Sayya-an, and a closing prayer by Ma’am Milagrose L. Fanao. The exit of colors by the Sadanga Municipal Police Station marked the formal end of the program.

The event served not only as an investiture but also as a reaffirmation of the school and community’s shared commitment to nurturing disciplined, value-driven, and service-oriented youth leaders.
