Matagumpay na nasabat ng 4th Infantry Division ang mga nakatagong baril at bala ng mga rebelde sa magkahiwalay na operasyon sa Bukidnon at Surigao del Sur noong Hulyo 4 at 13.

Ayon sa militar, ang operasyong ito ay nag-aalis ng banta sa mga komunidad at nagpapatibay ng matatag na kapayapaan at seguridad sa buong Hilagang-Silangang Mindanao.

Nagsagawa ng makabuluhang talakayan ang 65th Infantry Battalion noong Hulyo 14 sa Barangay Guiom, Cawayan, Masbate, upang palalimin ang kaalaman ng mga mag‑aaral tungkol sa batas laban sa terorismo, at pangangalaga sa kalikasan, konstitusyon, at West Philippine Sea.

Layong hubugin ang makabayan, mulat, at matatag na kabataan — hindi lamang bilang tagapagtanggol ng bayan kundi bilang matalinong lider ng kinabukasan.

Kabilang din sa inialok na serbisyo ang pagpapakain, food packs, kagamitan sa paaralan, at iba pang tulong pampubliko, upang iparamdam na ang gobyerno ay abot-kamay maging sa malalayong lugar, at patibayin ang ugnayan at kapayapaan sa komunidad.

Mahalaga umanong maprotektahan ang kabataan laban sa mapanlinlang na ideolohiya, ilayo sila sa kapahamakan, at itaguyod ang kanilang mahalagang papel sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan sa komunidad.

Bumalik na sa normal ang Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro matapos ang engkuwentro sa NPA noong Hulyo 9 kung saan na-neutralize ang isang rebelde at narekober ang isang mataas na kalibreng baril.

Nakabalik na rin ang 225 pamilya (halos 1,000 katao) sa kanilang mga tahanan. Nagbigay ng debriefing at mga food pack ang DSWD, 65th Infantry Battalion, Red Cross, at LGU.

Ayon kay Major Gen. Marion T. Angcao, commander ng 4ID, patuloy ang militar sa pagpapanatili ng Stable Internal Peace and Security at pagpigil sa panibagong karahasan sa rehiyon.

Kabilang sa mga nasamsam na armas ay 3 M16 ri**es, 2 AK-47 ri**es, 1 M1 Garand r***e, 1 homemade sh***un, 2 anti-personnel IEDs, mga magazine at bala.

CAMP BGEN EFIGENIO C. NAVARRO, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro — The Police Regional Office MIMAROPA (PRO MIMAROPA) arrested Oriental Mindoro’s No. 1 Provincial Most Wanted Person, who is facing eight counts of alleged Statutory R**e, during a joint manhunt operation conducted at about 1:30 p.m. on July 16, 2026, in Barangay Sta. Isabel, Calapan City.

The operation was led by personnel of the Calapan City Police Station (CPS) under the leadership of PLTCOL Michael C. Caraggayan, Chief of Police, in coordination with the 404th Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4B, the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, and the Provincial Intelligence Team of the Regional Intelligence Unit 4B.

The accused was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest in eight counts of alleged Statutory R**e under Article 266-A, Paragraphs (1)(A) and (D) of the Revised Penal Code, docketed under Criminal Case Nos. CR-26-17913 to CR-26-17920, with no bail recommended.

The arrested individual is currently under the custody of the Calapan City Police Station pending documentation and turnover to the issuing court.

PRO MIMAROPA Regional Director PBGEN Christopher R. Dela Cruz described the arrest as a major accomplishment in the region’s intensified campaign against wanted persons, emphasizing that the successful operation reflects the dedication and close coordination of the participating police units.

“The arrest of Oriental Mindoro’s No. 1 Most Wanted Person demonstrates our unwavering commitment to ensuring that individuals facing serious criminal charges are located, arrested, and brought before the courts. We will continue to intensify our intelligence-driven manhunt operations because no fugitive is beyond the reach of the law,” PBGEN Dela Cruz said.

The Regional Director likewise commended the leadership of PLTCOL Michael C. Caraggayan and the personnel of Calapan CPS, 404th Maneuver Company, RMFB 4B, 1st PMFC of Oriental Mindoro PPO, and the Provincial Intelligence Team of RIU 4B for their coordinated efforts in the successful implementation of the court-issued warrant.

The successful operation forms part of PRO MIMAROPA’s F.I.G.H.T. C.R.I.M.E.S. Framework, which strengthens intelligence-driven police operations, enhances inter-unit collaboration, and intensifies the campaign against wanted persons in support of safer communities and the fair administration of justice.
