The Province of Romblon remains free from recorded cases of illegal recruitment, according to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) MIMAROPA, as the agency continues to strengthen public awareness and preventive measures against illegal recruitment and human trafficking.

The statement was made by DMW MIMAROPA Regional Director Dr. Carlo Villaflores during the Anti-Illegal Recruitment and Trafficking in Persons Seminar attended by more than 500 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their family members from the municipality of Odiongan. | via Danilyn Caunca

Matagumpay na 2nd Quarter TUPAD Orientation ginanap.

Isang makabuluhang araw para sa ating mga kababayan ng Concepcion, (Sibale) Romblon!
Kahapon, May 4,2026 (Lunes), ay matagumpay na idinaos ang Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) Orientation at Contract Signing para sa ika-2nd quarter ng taong 2026.
Ang programang itong ay naisakatuparan sa pakikipagtulungan ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE),
under the supervision ng ating butihing Mayor Nicon F. Fameronag.
Personal ding dinaluhan at sinaksihan ng ating Vice-Mayor Limwel Cipriano ang aktibidad. Binigyang diin niya ang kahalagahan ng programang ito sa pagbibigay ng agarang tulong at oportunidad sa ating mga manggagawa, lalo na sa mga nawalan ng trabaho o nangangailangan ng karagdagang kita.
Sa pamamagitan ng TUPAD, ang ating mga benepisyaryo ay makakatanggap ng tulong pinansyal kapalit ng kanilang Serbisyo sa komunidad sa loob ng itinakdang araw. Ito ay patunay ng ating patuloy na pagkakaisa at malasakit para sa ikauunlad ng bawat pamilyang Romblomanon. Maraming Salamat sa lahat ng nakiisa at nagtulungan para sa tagumpay ng programang ito.
