During the session, upon the motion of Councilor Alberto S. Cadavis, Jr., the resolution for the renewal of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), represented by its President and Chief Executive Officer, Lynette V. Ortiz, relative to the Salary Loan Facility, was approved.
Meanwhile, the committee reports of Atty. Eleazar DL. Balderas and ABC President Reynald G. Ramos regarding the committee hearing on the proposed ordinance banning intoxicating liquors or beverages in public places, as well as the Regular Mobile Meeting of the Liga ng mga Barangay Maddela Chapter, were both approved.
Furthermore, in his privilege speech, Councilor Hidalgo suggested the amendment of Ordinance No. 03, Series of 2011, entitled โAn Ordinance Requiring Drivers and Riders of Single Motorcycles Operating within the Territorial Jurisdiction of Maddela, Quirino to Wear Safety Crash Helmets While Riding Said Motorcycles While Traveling.โ However, the proposal was referred for further study.
In addition, upon the request of the Council for the improvement of the Municipal Session Hall, Municipal Engineer Junard L. Umaweng and Architect Sherwin Jake Apostol were also invited. It was noted that they would prepare the design and present it to the Council.
Moreover, barangay officials of Divisoria Norte headed by PB Clarence Nicolas, attended the session in relation to the approval of their request through Resolution No. 20, Series of 2026 of Barangay Divisoria Norte, entitled: โA Resolution Earnestly Requesting the Sangguniang Bayan of the Municipality of Maddela, Province of Quirino, to Enact an Ordinance Naming Certain Streets Located in Purok 2 and Purok 3, Barangay Divisoria Norte.โ However, after deliberation, the Council agreed to conduct a mobile session in the said barangay to ensure that concerned individuals would be informed and included in the discussion regarding the request.
Lastly, Councilor Melchor C. Sad-en scheduled a committee hearing on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, regarding the proposed ordinance adopting streamlined guidelines for the issuance of permits and clearances for the implementation of Energy Infrastructure Projects (EIPs).
