The Bureau of Fire Protection โ€“ National Capital Region (BFP NCR), under the leadership of FCSUPT ROY RODERICK P AGUTO, DSC, Regional Director, held its Monday Holy Mass today at the BFP NCR Regional Headquarters.

BFP NCR personnel gathered in prayer and thanksgiving, entrusting the week ahead to the Lord and seeking His guidance, strength, and wisdom as they continue their commitment to public service and the mission of protecting lives and properties.

The activity was attended by FCSUPT WILBERTO RICO NEIL A KWAN TIU, Officer-in-Charge, Bureau of Fire Protection, the BFP NCR Command Group, key officers, and the newly appointed Fire Safety Inspectors.

The engagement focused on the reforms being pursued in the Fire Safety Inspection system, with Undersecretary Mabilog emphasizing the responsibility of the new set of inspectors to faithfully implement the Fire Code and uphold the integrity of every inspection.

He reminded the inspectors that every inspection is ultimately about protecting lives and property, and called on them to remain professional, impartial, and accountable in the performance of their duties. He also emphasized that they are given the opportunity to uphold the standards of the Bureau and contribute to the continuing reforms in the Fire Safety Inspection system.

The Bureau of Fire Protection National Capital Region (BFP-NCR), under the leadership of Regional Director ๐—™๐—–๐—ฆ๐—จ๐—ฃ๐—ง ๐—ฅ๐—ข๐—ฌ ๐—ฅ๐—ข๐——๐—˜๐—ฅ๐—œ๐—–๐—ž ๐—ฃ ๐—”๐—š๐—จ๐—ง๐—ข, ๐——๐—ฆ๐—–, participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill conducted earlier today, September 3, 2026, as part of the continuing efforts to strengthen preparedness and response capabilities for active attack incidents and other emergencies that may occur in school settings.

The drill aimed to test established emergency procedures and strengthen coordination among fire and rescue personnel, law enforcement, local government units, school authorities, and other partner agencies, particularly in situations requiring immediate action and a coordinated response to protect learners, teachers, and school personnel.

More than testing procedures, the drill also reminds everyone that preparedness is a shared responsibility. Knowing what to do, where to go, and how to respond can make a difference when an actual emergency occurs.

BFP NCR remains committed to working closely with schools, communities, and partner agencies in promoting a culture of preparedness and building safer and more resilient communities.
