Scenes from the afternoon seminar entitled “Disability Sensitivity and Etiquette Training” held at the Multi-Purpose Hall, CTA Building II last July 31, 2026.

The speaker was Ms. Virginia Rabino, focused on promoting disability awareness and equipping participants with the knowledge to interact with persons with disabilities in a respectful and appropriate manner.

Continuing its celebration of the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week 2026, the Court of Tax Appeals, through its Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (GFPS), conducted the morning session seminar, "Crash Course on Filipino Sign Language (FSL)," on July 31, 2026, at the Multi-Purpose Hall, 5th Floor, CTA Building II.

Led by Mr. Patrick Bryan Ablaza, the seminar introduced participants to the basics of Filipino Sign Language and highlighted the importance of promoting meaningful communication with the Deaf community.

In observance of the 2026 National Disability Rights Week, the Court of Tax Appeals, through its Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (GFPS), conducted the seminar, "Spotlight on Intersectionality," on July 21, 2026, at the Multi-Purpose Hall of CTA Building II.

The seminar, led by Atty. Rhea Ramos, Chief of the Programs Management Division at the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA), and a human rights advocate provided participants with a deeper understanding of the various types of disabilities while promoting awareness of the proper and inclusive ways of interacting with and supporting persons with disabilities.

As the culminating activity of the Women’s Month celebration and in observance of the 22nd Women with Disabilities Day, the CTA Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) spearheaded a Perimenopause Awareness Talk held on March 30, 2026 at the Multi-Purpose Hall.

The session was led by Dr. Rosemarie Perez-Tiburcio, Chief Administrative Officer of Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, who shared valuable insights on perimenopause—its symptoms, hormonal changes, and practical ways to manage this important stage in a woman’s life. The talk provided a safe and informative space for participants to better understand their health and well-being.

Participants gained not only knowledge but also a deeper appreciation of the importance of support, awareness, and self-care during this phase. The interactive question-and-answer portion further enriched the session, allowing CTA participants to actively engage, clarify concerns, and gain additional insights directly from the speaker.

As part of the 2026 Women’s Month Celebration, Ms. Tonette Asprer—a Sound Healer, Sound Healing Teacher Trainer, Reiki Master-Teacher, Certified Yoga and Meditation Teacher, and professional Food Stylist—facilitated the workshop titled “Unwind & Uplift: A Women’s Month Yoga Gathering”. The event was held on March 27, 2026, at the Multi-Purpose Hall, 5th Floor, Court of Tax Appeals Building.

The session highlighted the importance of nurturing harmony between mind and body through gentle yoga postures, mindful breathing techniques, and meditation. Associate Justice Maria Rowena Modesto-San Pedro, alongside court employees, actively participated in the guided exercises. These movements were specifically designed to enhance physical vitality and mental well-being, ultimately fostering a sense of relaxation and inner balance.

In celebration of National Women’s Month, the CTA Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) successfully spearheaded a workshop titled “GAD Culinary Empowerment: Nourishing Goodness with Del Monte Kitchenomics,” held on of March 20, 2026, at the Multi-Purpose Hall, CTA Building II.

The workshop was conducted by Del Monte Philippines’ Executive Chef and former CTA employee, Meg Victorino together with the culinary team from Del Monte Kitchenomics. They demonstrated three easy, affordable, and flavorful recipes for CTA officials and employees. During the session, the team highlighted the importance of preparing nutritious meals that are both accessible and practical for Filipino families, particularly in light of the rising cost of basic commodities.

CTA Participants actively engaged in the workshop and had the opportunity to observe the cooking demonstrations, learn helpful kitchen tips, and gain practical knowledge on preparing simple yet satisfying meals.

In celebration of National Women’s Month with the sub-theme “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”, the CTA GFPS launched a series of activities this March 2026.

The first seminar, titled “Trailblaze-hers: Women Shaping the Future,” was held on March 13, 2026 at the Multi-Purpose Hall, CTA Building II, and featured Ms. Menchie Silvestre, Executive Director of TV5 Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc., as the guest speaker. During the talk, Ms. Silvestre spoke about the value of women’s leadership, resilience, and empowerment in helping create stronger and more inclusive communities. She encouraged participants to believe in their abilities, rise above challenges, and take an active role in leading and making a positive impact in their respective fields
