PNP-WCPC RESCUES THREE MINORS FROM ONLINE EXPLOITATION IN BACOLOD CITY

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC), successfully rescued three minors believed to be victims of online sexual abuse and exploitation during an operation conducted in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, on June 4, 2026.

The operation was carried out following information shared through international law enforcement cooperation and was supported by concerned PNP units and local social welfare authorities. A 51-year-old Filipina suspect was taken into custody in connection with the case.

The rescued children were immediately turned over to social welfare authorities for proper care, protection, and psychosocial intervention while authorities continue the investigation to identify other individuals who may have been involved.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating teams and partner agencies for their coordinated efforts in safeguarding children from online exploitation.

“Every child deserves to grow up in a safe environment, free from abuse and exploitation. This successful rescue reflects the dedication of our police officers and partner agencies in protecting the most vulnerable members of our society,” PGen Nartatez said.

He emphasized that the PNP remains committed to strengthening its campaign against crimes that victimize children, particularly those committed through digital platforms.

“Hindi tayo titigil sa paghabol sa mga taong nagsasamantala sa ating mga kabataan. Kasabay ng mas pinaigting na law enforcement efforts, patuloy din nating palalakasin ang pakikipagtulungan sa mga komunidad, pamilya, at mga partner agencies upang higit na maprotektahan ang mga bata laban sa ganitong uri ng krimen,” he added.

The operation forms part of the PNP’s continuing efforts to intensify operations against cyber-enabled crimes and protect vulnerable sectors, consistent with the PNP Focused Agenda’s thrust on Enhanced Managing Police Operations. It likewise supports the broader direction of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in promoting child protection and public safety through stronger inter-agency and international cooperation.

The PNP assures the public that investigations are ongoing and that all legal measures will be pursued against those found responsible. Through the organization’s continuing commitment, the PNP remains steadfast in advancing the vision of Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.

PNP NABS NATIONAL MOST WANTED PERSON WITH ₱150K DILG REWARD FOR STATUTORY R**E CASE

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., successfully arrested a National Most Wanted Person on June 8, 2026, in General Nakar, Quezon, through a manhunt operation conducted by the CIDG Quezon Provincial Field Unit, the PNP Special Action Force (SAF), and the General Nakar Municipal Police Station of the Quezon Police Provincial Office.

The operation was carried out by virtue of two warrants of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court in Bontoc, Mountain Province, dated September 8, 2022, for three counts of Qualified Statutory R**e, with no bail recommended, and two counts of Acts of Lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act No. 7610, with recommended bail of PHP 200,000.00.

The arrested fugitive, a Filipino male of legal age and a native of Mountain Province, Cordillera Administrative Region, was listed as the No. 8 National Most Wanted Person and carried a PHP 150,000.00 monetary reward under a Department of the Interior and Local Government memorandum circular.

Case records show that the offense dates back to 2015, when the suspect allegedly sexually abused his minor niece, then a Grade 6 pupil, inside a storage room of their residence in Sitio Lumyeng, Lacman, Mountain Province. The victim endured years of silence due to threats and fear until 2022, when she bravely revealed the incident to her father, resulting in the filing of criminal complaints and the issuance of warrants of arrest.

After the filing of charges, the suspect fled Mountain Province and evaded authorities by moving across remote mountainous areas of the Sierra Madre, including General Nakar, Quezon, and nearby areas in Rizal, until law enforcement units successfully tracked and arrested him, ending years of evasion.

The PNP emphasized that the operation reflects its sustained commitment to pursuing fugitives involved in grave offenses, particularly crimes against women and children, and ensuring that offenders are brought before the justice system through continuous law enforcement action.

The arrest aligns with the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly on Enhanced Managing Police Operations and Active Community Support, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to protecting vulnerable sectors and strengthening public safety.

PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said, “We will continue to pursue those who commit grave offenses against children until they are brought before the courts and held accountable under the law.”

“Ang kapulisan ay patuloy na kikilos laban sa mga gumagawa ng krimen. Hindi kami titigil hangga’t hindi nakakamit ng biktima ang hustisya,” he added.

As the PNP intensifies its campaign against wanted persons under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it continues to assure the public of its commitment to the vision of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”

The operations were carried out through coordinated efforts of PNP units together with partner law enforcement and regulatory agencies, as part of sustained efforts to prevent the entry and distribution of improperly documented and potentially unsafe commercial products in the market.

These initiatives support the PNP Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, aligned with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to further strengthen enforcement against smuggling and other forms of economic sabotage.

In Davao City, operatives from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and local police units conducted an entrapment operation at a facility located at Monteverde Corner Bangoy Street. The estimated value of the confiscated items reached PhP3,148,200.00. The suspect and evidence are now under the custody of CIDG Davao City Field Unit for proper documentation and case build-up.

In Rodriguez, Rizal, a separate buy-bust operation was conducted inside a manufacturing facility along Mayon Avenue, Barangay San Jose. Authorities arrested a Filipino legal-age female after discovering large volumes of alcohol products, including ethyl alcohol and isopropyl alcohol variants under the “Ocean Blue” label. The total estimated value of seized items was placed at PhP1,536,970.00. The suspect and evidence were turned over to CIDG Regional Field Unit 4A for proper disposition and investigation.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., lauded the operating units for their coordinated action and sustained enforcement efforts.

“Ang mahalaga dito ay tuloy-tuloy ang ating operasyon at mabilis ang aksyon. These operations show that when agencies work together, we can immediately act against illegal activities. We will continue to be proactive on the ground,” the Chief PNP said.

He further stressed that the PNP remains committed to strengthening operational efficiency and inter-agency coordination to sustain gains in law enforcement.

The arrested individuals will face appropriate charges for violations of existing laws and regulations following inquest proceedings.

The PNP reaffirmed its commitment to public safety and lawful commerce, as it continues its intensified operations nationwide in support of national government efforts, anchored on the vision of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”

In Brgy. Pasong Camachile 1, General Trias City, Cavite, CIDG Cavite operatives together with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) implemented a Search Warrant for violation of Republic Act No. 11900 or the Vaporized Ni****ne and Non-Ni****ne Products Regulation Act. The operation resulted in the confiscation of assorted v**e products consisting of boxed v***r devices and disposable variants. These items were found to have no DTI permit, no required packaging and health warnings, and failed to comply with product standard requirements, with a total value of PHP1,997,000.00.

In Brgy. Paliparan I, Dasmariñas City, Cavite, CIDG Cavite operatives together with representatives of a Filipino-owned liquefied petroleum gas company and a party-list group advocating for the LPG industry conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of a male individual of legal age who was allegedly caught transporting and trading empty LPG cylinders without authority from the brand owners. Confiscated were ninety empty LPG cylinders bearing registered trademarks of legitimate manufacturers, with an estimated value of PHP200,000.00.

The operations are anchored on Republic Act No. 11900, which regulates v***rized ni****ne and non-ni****ne products to protect public health through proper product standards, and Republic Act No. 623 as amended by Republic Act No. 5700, which prohibits the unauthorized use, possession, and sale of marked containers, including compressed gas cylinders, without written consent of the owners.

“The PNP will continue to intensify operations against contraband goods that pose risks to public safety and violate regulatory standards,” said PGEN Nartatez.

“Hindi po namin kukunsintihin ang mga ilegal na gawain. Patuloy ang PNP sa pagtupad ng aming tungkulin para sa kapakanan ng publiko,” he added.

The PNP Focused Agenda, a transformation framework designed to strengthen police service delivery, supports these operations, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, reinforcing enforcement against illicit trade and regulatory violations affecting public safety and consumer welfare.

As the PNP intensifies its campaign against contraband trade under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it continues to assure the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”

PNP, NAPC LAUNCH PROJECT INVINCIBLE; 193 FORMER REBELS IN CAGAYAN RECEIVE GOVERNMENT AID

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., joined the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) and partner government agencies in launching PROJECT INVINCIBLE and facilitating the distribution of government assistance to 193 former rebels, now recognized as Peace Advocates, during a reintegration and livelihood support program held on June 9, 2026, at the 2nd Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company Headquarters in Pamplona, Cagayan.

The initiative highlighted the government’s continuing commitment to sustaining peace and promoting inclusive development by providing former rebels with opportunities to rebuild their lives and become productive members of their communities.

The program was graced by NAPC Secretary Lope B. Santos III, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, with the participation of officials from the Police Regional Office 2, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Agriculture, National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, Provincial Government of Cagayan, and the 2nd Cagayan PMFC.

Central to the program was the launch of PROJECT INVINCIBLE (Innovation for Nurturing Hope and Valuing Every Friend’s Rescued and Integration into Society for New Beginnings; Collaboration with Government Agencies to Instill Discipline and Build Community Partnerships; and Leadership with Integrity to Empower for Lasting Peace and Transformation), a convergence mechanism designed to strengthen the reintegration of former rebels through coordinated government interventions and community-based support programs.

As part of the assistance package, the 193 Peace Advocates each received financial assistance amounting to PHP10,000.00 from the Department of Social Welfare and Development, along with agricultural seeds distributed by the Department of Agriculture to support livelihood and food production initiatives.

The successful implementation of the program underscores the collective efforts of NAPC, PRO2, DSWD, DA, NTF-ELCAC, the Provincial Government of Cagayan, and the 2nd Cagayan PMFC in advancing lasting peace, social inclusion, and sustainable development across the province.

The activity likewise reflects the PNP Focused Agenda, a strategic framework for institutional transformation aimed at making police service more responsive, trusted, and community-centered. Among its key priorities is Active Community Support, which promotes stronger collaboration between law enforcement, local communities, and partner agencies in fostering peace, development, and national unity.

PGEN Nartatez emphasized the significance of empowering former rebels through sustained government intervention and community partnership.

“Peace is strengthened when people are given real opportunities to rebuild their lives, contribute to their communities, and become partners in nation-building. Programs that support reintegration help transform former conflict areas into communities of growth and progress,” said PGEN Nartatez.

He further stressed the importance of unity in sustaining the gains of peace initiatives.

“Ang tunay na kapayapaan ay nakakamit kapag ang naligaw ng landas ay nabibigyan ng bagong simula para maging katuwang sa pag-unlad ng komunidad. Patuloy nating palalakasin ang pagtutulungan ng pamahalaan at mamamayan upang mapanatili ang kapayapaan sa bawat lugar,” PGEN Nartatez said.

The Chief PNP also commended the partner agencies and local stakeholders whose collaborative efforts made the initiative possible.

“Successful reintegration programs demonstrate that lasting peace requires a whole-of-government and whole-of-community approach. By working together, we create pathways for reconciliation, development, and a more secure future for every Filipino,” he said.

“Kapag sama-sama ang pamahalaan at komunidad sa pagtulong sa mga nais magbagong-buhay, mas nagiging matatag ang pundasyon ng kapayapaan. Ang bawat pagkakataong ibinibigay natin ay hakbang tungo sa mas maayos at mas mapayapang lipunan,” he added.

As the PNP continues to support peacebuilding efforts, strengthen community partnerships, and promote programs that encourage reconciliation and inclusive development under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it continues to assure the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”
