Authorities arrested three wanted r**e suspects who victimized minors in separate intelligence-driven manhunt operations in the cities of Butuan and Bayugan, all in Caraga region last June 4, 2021

POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M CARAMAT, Jr. Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 director identified the first suspect nabbed as Jhun Mark C. PALARCA a.k.a “Jhon Mark Culob”, 20 years old, was arrested in his residence in Barangay. San Mateo, Butuan City around 7:30PM.

Palarca was arrested by the personnel of Butuan City Police Station 5 based on a warrant of arrest under Criminal Case Numbers 2019-1033 and 1035.

The Regional Trial Court (RTC) 10th Judicial Region, Branch 1, Butuan City issued the warrant of arrest on January 21, 2020.

The suspect was linked to the r**e incident victimizing two minors in 2018 in Barangay Tungao, Butuan City

Meanwhile, Keith Curry H. Ermac a.k.a Poteng, 21 years old, was also nabbed by personnel of Bayugan City Police Station in Barangay Sta. Irene, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

Ermac has a standing warrant of arrest under criminal case number 6715 issued by the RTC ,10th Judicial Region, Branch 7, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur on October 29, 2020.

He was the suspect in the r**e incident that took place around 3:00 a.m. in Barangay Sta. Irene, Bayugan City victimizing a 15-year old.

In addition, a warrant of arrest was served by the personnel of Butuan City Police Station 5 to Zinio S. Hanlod, 27 years old at Butuan City Jail, Libertad, Butuan City.

The operation was made by virtue of the order of the RTC Branch 1, Butuan City under criminal case number 2021-314 dated May 6, 2021

A 4-year old victim fell to the hands of Hanlod on July 15, 2020 in Barangay Dulag, Butuan City

R**e is a non-bailable offense

Caramat lauded the troops for the successful manhunt operations in partnership with the community that provided information on the whereabouts of the suspects.
