📍 HAPPENING TODAY | Strengthening Business Resilience through Business Continuity Planning

The Department of Trade and Industry - Cordillera Administrative Region (DTI-CAR), in partnership with SM City Baguio, gathers SM City Baguio tenants and Baguio-Benguet MSMEs today for the workshop, “Strengthening Business Resilience through Business Continuity Planning."

As MSMEs continue to navigate an increasingly dynamic business environment marked by natural disasters, public health emergencies, supply chain disruptions, and other uncertainties, this activity aims to equip participants with practical knowledge and tools to strengthen preparedness, minimize disruptions, and ensure business sustainability.

Held in celebration of MSME Week 2026 under the theme, “Navigating the Shift: Building Resilient and Future-ready MSMEs,” the workshop highlights the importance of Business Continuity Planning as a strategic approach to help enterprises remain adaptive, competitive, and resilient amid change.

Participants are also gaining valuable insights from resource speaker, Mr. Jordan W***y G. Patente, CEO of Transform Philippines and President of Clean Zone PH, through discussions and workshop sessions designed to translate resilience concepts into actionable business continuity plans.

KADIWA NG PANGULO 2026 | PHILEX MINES

Bringing affordable and quality products closer to the community!

The Tuba Local Government Unit, in partnership with Barangay Camp 3 and Philex Mines, will be conducting the Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) on August 28, 2026 at the Barangay Court, Western Saddle, Philex Mines.

The Kadiwa ng Pangulo is a flagship program of the President that aims to make food and other essential products more affordable while providing farmers, fisherfolk, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) an opportunity to sell their products directly to consumers.

Through this program, we hope to support our local producers, help boost their income, and bring affordable goods closer to the people of Tuba.

The Department of Trade and Industry Baguio-Benguet joined the Provincial Government of Benguet in celebrating the culmination of Benguet MSME Week 2026 through the Gong Awards for Business Achievement and Yield (GABAY) held at the Ben Palispis Hall, Benguet Capitol, La Trinidad, Benguet.

The culminating activity concluded this year's celebration of MSME Month, recognizing the outstanding achievements and significant contributions of Benguet entrepreneurs who continue to strengthen the province's economy through innovation, resilience, and sustainable enterprise development.

Highlighting the event was the recognition of exemplary individuals and enterprises for their accomplishments in business and industry. Awards were conferred upon the Panungkalan Exhibitors for promoting Benguet's local products and craftsmanship, the BizBoost Business Pitching Awardees for presenting innovative and viable business concepts, the GABAY Legacy Enterprise Awardees for their longstanding contributions to the local economy, and the GABAY Pioneering Industry Awardees for demonstrating innovation and leadership in emerging industries.

The week-long celebration featured a series of activities designed to enhance the capabilities of MSMEs through entrepreneurship development, market promotion, business innovation, and networking opportunities. These initiatives reaffirm the commitment of DTI, the Provincial Government of Benguet, partner agencies, and the private sector to fostering an enabling environment where local enterprises can flourish.

DTI Baguio-Benguet congratulates all awardees, exhibitors, and participating entrepreneurs for their dedication, perseverance, and invaluable contributions to the growth of Benguet's MSME sector.

The 2026 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Week officially opened today, July 27, 2026, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and opening program held at the Provincial Capitol Gymnasium in La Trinidad, Benguet.

We are thrilled to invite everyone to check out the Panungkalan (Trade Fair Expo)! Our local Tuba MSMEs brought out the very best our municipality has to offer—from vibrant dragon fruit and fresh lemons to unique wood carvings, delicious local delicacies, and beautiful potted plants!

This vibrant showcase would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication of LGU Tuba. A big thank you goes out to our local government unit for their continuous support in helping build and set up a stand-out booth for our business owners.

BAGUIO CITY – 29 entrepreneurs from Baguio City and the Province of Benguet officially graduated from the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program during the Graduation Ceremony held as part of the 2026 Cordillera MSME Regional Summit on July 22, 2026, at the University of the Cordilleras Theaters anchored on the theme, “Navigating the Shift: Building Resilient and Future-Ready MSMEs”.

This year's graduation carried special significance as it coincided with the 10th Anniversary of the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program, the DTI's flagship mentorship initiative that has empowered thousands of Filipino entrepreneurs through practical and intensive mentoring in business management, marketing, financial management, operations, human resource management, product development, and enterprise growth.

The graduating class comprised 10 entrepreneurs from Baguio City and 19 entrepreneurs from Benguet, who now join the growing community of KMME graduates equipped with enhanced entrepreneurial competencies and practical business development strategies.

The ceremony also recognized the most outstanding Business Improvement Plans (BIPs) presented by the mentees, highlighting innovative, sustainable, and growth-oriented business models.

Open until August 2, 2026, the trade fair brings together 17 Cordillera MSME exhibitors, showcasing the region's finest product, from premium coffee, processed food, and handicrafts to woven textiles, fashion accessories, and other proudly local creations that reflect the rich culture and craftsmanship of the Cordillera.
