LGU-Malita | Zero Open Defecation Program Update

Good news from Barangay Fishing Village!

On May 20, 2026, a total of 65 beneficiaries from the community received their DOLE TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) under our ongoing Zero Open Defecation Program.

This milestone is part of our continuous commitment to improve sanitation while providing meaningful livelihood opportunities to our fellow Malitaños. Through TUPAD, beneficiaries are able to earn while helping maintain a clean and safe environment in their own barangay.

A heartfelt gratitude to our Municipal Mayor Hon. Benjamin P. Bautista, Jr. for his unwavering support, and to Committee on Health Chairperson Hon. Estefanie Bautista-Dumama for spearheading this initiative.

Likewise, thank you to our partner agencies — DOLE, TESDA, RHU, and PESO-Malita — and the barangay functionaries of Brgy. Fishing Village, for making this happen.

📢 MPESO Activities Recap

On May 20, 2026, your Municipal Public Employment Service Office (MPESO) was on the move, serving the community in two key events:

📍 BICP in Barangay Tical – MPESO OIC Mrs. Jelly V. Grado and staff joined the Barangay Integrated Consultative Program (BICP) of LGU Malita, led by Mayor Benjamin P. Bautista Jr. The BICP brings government services directly to the barangays, making assistance and governement services more accessible to our kababayans.

📍 SPAMAST Engagement – MPESO personnel attended Job Fair 2026 at SPAMAST Malita, strengthening partnerships and exploring opportunities for job placement and skills development.

The wait is over! Our qualified SPES beneficiaries are now officially deployed to their respective government offices and assignments starting May 12, 2026.

After a successful orientation last May 6 at BVBSTI Training Room (2nd Floor, Public Market Building, Poblacion, Malita), you are now ready to gain meaningful work experience this summer.

Reminders for SPES workers:
