Consultation Meeting on the Proposed Local Investments and Incentives Code of Perez, Quezon

Leaders from the business sector, particularly the Business Sector Alliance for Community Development, and the Municipal Local Government of Perez convened for a consultation meeting to review the municipality's proposed Local Investment and Incentive Code (LIIC).

The meeting was led by MPDO/LEDIPO and Mayor Charizze Marie E. Escalona, in collaboration with Vice Mayor Ryan A. Panol, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and with active participation from key municipal officers - Municipal Treasurer Nerie Tarrega, Municipal Accountant Meireen Ann Manalo, Municipal Budget Officer Memilanie Aguilar, HRMO Maria Bernadette Talavera, BPLO Lizette Del Moro, and MDRRMO Arres Potes, and representative of the Municipal Peoples Council Executive Officers, Marcelina Yanela.

This collaborative effort underscores the LGU's commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and ensuring that local policies support sustainable economic growth for our community.

Isinagawa noong March 3โ€“5, 2026 sa Tourism Beach Resort Convention Center ang Municipal Peoples Council Project Identification Training Workshop sa pamamagitan ng Organizational Development and Management for CSOs.

Layunin ng pagsasanay na palakasin ang kaalaman at kakayahan ng mga Civil Society Organizations sa pagtukoy ng mga prayoridad na proyekto, paggawa ng feasibility study at paghahanda ng project proposal para sa kapakinabangan ng kanilang mga organisasyon at komunidad.

Sa pagtatapos ng tatlong araw na pagsasanay, matagumpay na nakapagbalangkas ng mga sumusunod na panukalang proyekto ang mga samahan.

On December 3, 2025, the Municipal Peopleโ€™s Council of Perez, Quezon, convened its inaugural General Assembly and CSO Day at the Municipal Covered Court in this municipality, with the general goal of bolstering the organizationโ€™s unity, growth, and development.

Under the leadership of the newly elected Municipal People's Council Executive Committee Officers, the assembly deliberated on the ratification of the council's vision, mission, goals, and objectives, as well as its three-year strategic plan. During the General Assembly, the Municipal People's Council Executive Committee Officers were sworn in by the Hon. Mayor Charizze Marie E. Escalona, pledging their service, commitment, accountability, and dedication to the community.

Mr. Anton L. Manrique of the Provincial Assistance for Community and Sectoral Empowerment and Development Unit (PACSEDU) stated, "Sa buong ika-4 na distrito, kayo po ang pinakauna na nakapag organisa ng konseho ng mamamayan. Kaya ako po ay proud na proud (sa inyo) dahil ako ay naging kabahagi nito." His statements motivated members of all 40 organizations present. Likewise, P/Capt. Jocel Calvario underscored the significance of accountability and dedication among all organization members.

The event concluded with a festive Christmas party at which all organization members participated in games and shared an evening of camaraderie and celebration.

Empowering Civil Society: Organizational Development for CSO
October 20, 2025 | Municipal Covered Court, Perez, Quezon

A People's Assembly with local leaders and CSO representatives to strengthen participatory governance through the reorganization of the Perez Municipal People's Council (MPC). Highlights included policy orientation, sectoral workshops, ratification of the Municipal People's Council for CY 2025-2028, and the selection of CSO representatives to local special bodies. A total of 31CSOs were represented in the four LSBs.

By working together, we build a more inclusive and empowered community.
