𝗖𝗚𝗗𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗠 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗫𝟮𝟲

The Coast Guard District Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CGDBARMM) successfully completed the Marine Exercise 2026 (MAREX26) coordination and preparatory activities spearheaded by the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) and the United States Marine Corps (USMC). Under the PH-US Mutual Defense Board–Security Engagement Board (MDB-SEB) CY 2026 activities, said activity was held from 18 – 29 May 2026 and was participated by other agencies including Philippine Coast Guard.

The exercise aims to enhance interoperability, operational readiness, and inter-agency coordination among participating agencies in addressing evolving maritime and security threats. This is very much in line with the primary mission of CGDBARMM, to strengthen maritime defense cooperation, improve tactical preparedness, and enhance the capability of security forces to respond effectively to various unexpected scenarios.

Through continuous collaboration, joint exercises, and capability enhancement initiatives such as MAREX26, participating agencies further solidified their shared commitment to safeguarding national security interests, promoting regional peace and stability, and ensuring a more resilient and responsive maritime security environment for the benefit of the Filipino people, especially the people of the BARMM Region.

Coast Guard District Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CGDBARMM) joined the 𝙋𝘾𝙂-𝙬𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙎𝙞𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙊𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙏𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙐𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙉𝙤𝙣-𝙐𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙜𝙨 officiated by the Commandant Philippine Coast Guard, Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG, via zoom at Headquarters CGDBARMM, Polloc Freeport and Ecozone, Polloc, Parang, Maguindanao Del Norte on 25 May 2026. Personnel from all of the 6 Coast Guard Stations under CGDBARMM also joined the said activity in their respective area of responsibilities.

Pursuant to NHQ-PCG/CGIAS Circular 03-26, this undertaking is a testament to the Philippine Coast Guard’s commitment to maintain a drug-free organization, demonstrating unity, discipline, professionalism, and accountability. Meaning any personnel found involved under influence or in possession of illegal drugs shall face “Dismissal from the service”, strongly reinforcing the PCG’s strict implementation of its Zero Drug Tolerance Policy.

The Coast Guard Legal Unit – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CGLU-BARMM) successfully conducted a two-day lecture series for the personnel of Coast Guard District BARMM at Headquarters CGDBARMM, Polloc Freeport and Ecozone, Polloc, Parang Maguindanao on 06 and 08 May 2026.

The said lecture covered:

📌 Day 1 — Republic Act No. 9993 (Philippine Coast Guard Law of 2009), with special emphasis on the core functions of the PCG.

📌 Day 2 — RA 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act) and RA 11313 (Safe Spaces Act) — fostering a safe, respectful, and professional workplace for all PCG personnel.

This initiative was led by LT ALVIN RYAN S KIPLI, OIC, CGLU-BARMM and LT DEEJAY D IBABAO, Legal Officer, CGLU-BARMM, in fulfillment of the marching order of COMMO REJARD V MARFE, Acting Commander, CGD-BARMM, to continuously empower PCG personnel through legal education.

A legally empowered Coast Guard is a stronger Coast Guard. ⚓⚖️

The Men and Women of Coast Guard District Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CGDBARMM) joined the Online General Orientation on RA 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 and Other ARTA Compliance Requirements of the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) via Facebook Live at Headquarters CGDBARMM, Polloc Freeport and Ecozone, Polloc, Parang, Maguindanao Del Norte on 06 May 2026. Personnel of Coast Guard Stations under CGDBARMM also simultaneously participated the activity.

This orientation is in line with the Ease of Doing Business Month 2026 Celebration. It aims to equip participating agencies with knowledge on RA 11032 and continue working together to provide a more streamlined, transparent, and accountable public service. It also gave a proper introduction to the public on how to read, understand, and access Citizen’s Charters or the frontline services of the different Government Agencies in their area.

Coast Guard District Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CGDBARMM) aids in the Free Circumcision Activity of the Iranon Provincial Hospital for their 4th Founding Anniversary conducted at the Municipal Gymnasium, Poblacion I, Parang, Maguindanao Del Norte on 26 April 2026.

The said activity primarily aimed to provide essential medical services to the community, particularly to young beneficiaries, while promoting health, hygiene, and overall well-being. CGDBARMM personnel rendered assistance in maintaining order and supporting medical teams throughout the activity.

This initiative highlights the strong collaboration between government agencies and local institutions in delivering accessible healthcare services to the public. It also reflects CGDBARMM’s continued commitment to community engagement and humanitarian efforts in the region. Through activities like this, CGDBARMM reaffirms its dedication not only to maritime safety and security but also to uplifting the lives of the communities it serves.

𝗖𝗚𝗗𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗠 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚

Coast Guard District Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CGDBARMM) successfully concluded a comprehensive 6-day Marksmanship Training activity, significantly enhancing the tactical capabilities and firearm proficiency of its personnel.

A total of 80 Coast Guard personnel underwent rigorous instruction designed to uphold the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. The curriculum focused on critical skill sets, including:

*Basic Rifle and Pistol Marksmanship:
Mastering precision and accuracy under various conditions.
*Comprehensive Gun Safety:
Reaffirming the core protocols of responsible firearm handling.
*Assembly, Disassembly, and Maintenance:
Ensuring equipment reliability and technical knowledge of service caliber weapons.

This training was made possible through the collaborative support of our partners. We extend our appreciation to the 2nd Marine Rifle Battalion for their exceptional hospitality and for providing the facilities necessary for this undertaking. Furthermore, we recognize the Coast Guard Special Operations Group (CGSOG) BARMM for their expert mentorship and for facilitating a high-caliber training environment that challenged and refined our personnel.

With this training complete, these 80 personnel are better prepared to fulfill their duties as Guardians of the Sea, ensuring safety and security throughout the BARMM maritime jurisdiction.
