PMAJ ARNEL R TAMAYO, COP, actively conducted information and awareness activities on r**e prevention and other forms of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) as part of the SK Consultation on the Strengthening of Measures to Reduce R**e Cases and Other GBV Incidents.

During the activity, PMAJ TAMAYO emphasized the importance of vigilance, mutual respect, responsible behavior, and community cooperation in preventing r**e and other forms of GBV. He highlighted that the protection of every member of the community, particularly women, children, and other vulnerable sectors, is a shared responsibility that requires the active participation of the youth, families, community leaders, and law enforcement.

The activity also encouraged the participants to become more aware of the warning signs and risk factors associated with GBV, to promote a culture of respect and accountability, and to immediately report incidents or suspicious circumstances to the proper authorities. The consultation served as an avenue to strengthen collaboration between the police, Sangguniang Kabataan, and the community in developing effective preventive measures and ensuring a safer environment for all.

Members of the Highway Patrol Group Force Multipliers Inc. (HPGFMI), headed by Mr. Macario Baungan, C., Region 1 & 3 HPGFMI, coordinated with PMAJ ARNEL R TAMAYO, COP, Manaoag Municipal Police Station, regarding the proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for their possible engagement as Force Multipliers of the Manaoag Police Station.

The initiative aims to strengthen police-community partnership and enhance the collective efforts in crime prevention, road safety, public safety, and security within the municipality.

Personnel of Manaoag Police Station, led by PMAJ ARNEL R TAMAYO, Chief of Police, attended and conducted an inspirational talk to the youth of Barangay Oraan West, Manaoag, Pangasinan.

During the activity, PMAJ TAMAYO emphasized the importance of discipline, respect for parents and elders, perseverance, dedication, and hard work in achieving one’s goals and aspirations. He also shared some of his personal experiences and life journey, inspiring the youth to remain focused, responsible, and determined in pursuing their dreams.

Likewise, PSMS SOMIQUIAB conducted a discussion on the penalties and legal consequences of violations of the Anti-R**e Law, Anti-Bastos Law, and other forms of gender-based violence. The discussion aimed to increase the awareness of the youth regarding their rights, responsibilities, and the importance of respecting the dignity and safety of others.

The activity reflects the commitment of Manaoag Police Station to empower the youth through education, values formation, and crime prevention awareness, while strengthening the partnership between the police and the community.

Personnel of this station, under the supervision of PMAJ ARNEL R TAMAYO, COP, joined the Lingo ng Kabataan Night held at Brgy. Inamothan, this municipality. During the activity, the assigned PNCO conducted a brief dialogue and reminder to the attendees regarding the importance of discipline and responsible behavior, particularly among the youth and members of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK).

The PNCO emphasized that while socialization and enjoying community activities are encouraged, excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages should be avoided. The attendees were reminded that being intoxicated must never be used as an excuse to commit crimes, violate laws, or engage in unruly behavior. They were likewise encouraged to exercise self-discipline, respect others, and remain responsible at all times to help prevent untoward incidents and maintain peace and order in the community.

The activity concluded peacefully and served as an opportunity for the police to strengthen its engagement with the youth and promote responsible citizenship and crime prevention.
