CES Fogging Drive for Dengue Prevention

Capandanan Elementary School carried out a fogging activity today, July 22, 2026 at 3:00 in the afternoon, initiated by SPTA President Mrs. Marissa B. Mamaat. Driven by her concern for the welfare of the learners and the entire school community, the activity aims to protect everyone’s health by eliminating mosquito populations that carry dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases.

The successful implementation of this initiative was made possible through the collective effort of the Barangay Council led by Barangay Captain Diosdado B. Santiago, Jr., and the full support of CES Principal Mrs. Amelia T. Rosario. This activity reinforces the school’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all learners, personnel, and stakeholders.

Capandanan Elementary School implemented DepEd’s ARAL (Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning) Mathematics Program from May 6–June 2, 2026. This 20‑day intensive tutorial runs Mon–Thu (Fridays for home learning) with 2‑hour daily sessions to build learners’ foundational math skills.

CES elects New SPTA Officers

Capandanan Elementary School conducted the election of School Parents‑Teachers Association (SPTA) Officers today, July 8, 2026 at 9:30 AM. spearheaded by School Principal Madam Amelia T. Rosario. The activity was ably supported by School Coordinator Mrs. Filotea S. Bolasoc, together with Master Teachers Evelyn S. Cancino and Rudilyn D. Rayos.

Election was carried out through a transparent pen‑and‑paper voting process. The following officers were officially elected for School Year 2026‑2027:

CES conducts SLAC

Capandanan Elementary School Teaching Force gathered for a productive School Learning Action Cell ( SLAC) session this afternoon (July 3, 2026 at 3:00-5:00) focused on updating professional practices and aligning with current DepEd standards. The activity opened with a usual preliminaries, followed by opening remarks from our School Head Madam Amelia T. Rosario, who emphasized the importance of continuous learning to better serve learners.

Resource speakers shared key updates: Evelyn S. Cancino (Master Teacher III) discussed Guidelines on Learning Design and Lesson Planning; Rudilyn D. Rayos (Master Teacher I) presented Revised Policies on Classroom Assessment and the Grading System; and Mary Grace S. Gregorio (Teacher VI) covered the Updated Guidelines on Awards and Recognition for the K to 12 Basic Education Program.

The session concluded with an open forum and feedback led by Madam Rosario, where teachers clarified concerns and exchanged insights. The activity strengthened the faculty’s readiness to implement new guidelines effectively for the current school year.

To establish baseline performance and reading profiles at the start of the school year, the following assessments were administered:

- Diagnostic Test
- CRLA – Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment
- FLAT – Functional Literacy Assessment Tool
- Phil‑IRI – Philippine Informal Reading Inventory
- RMA – Rapid Math Assessment

All activities were monitored by School Principal Madam Amelia T. Rosario, with results compiled and consolidated by the designated school assessment coordinator.

CES Dental Check‑Up Activity

Capandanan Elementary School kicked off its dental check‑up activity this week, serving learners from Kindergarten to Grade 6, conducted by Dr. Agnes C. Dela Cruz, Dentist II from Schools Division Office I Pangasinan.

This activity is vital for ensuring and supporting the learners’ dental health. Dr. Dela Cruz also explained the benefits of fluoride to younger learners and applied fluoride treatment to help clean and protect their teeth.

The entire CES family, led by School Principal Madam Amelia T. Rosario, expressed deep gratitude for the initiative and its meaningful contribution to the oral health of every learner.
